Are you a single Catholic? Meet Your Match Today [close]

Single Living

On the ninth day of Christmas, we bring you Michael-76823.

What were the greatest blessings of 2010?

I have felt particularly blessed this past year by continued good health, by safety in travels, by being able to find a great new apartment for my father (where he is now able to live independently) and by the wonderful people I’ve met along the way.

How has your approach to finding a mate evolved?

I’ve gone from hoping that I somehow happen to just randomly meet the person I’m praying for to joining a website that provides me with names and profiles of others who are also seeking and then to discovering a wonderful, living, breathing community existing within that website.

Whether I find “the one” here or somewhere else is yet to be determined, but in the meantime I plan to stick around, meet people, present a positive attitude, and have fun in the process.

What’s your CatholicMatch strategy?

My overall strategy is to approach CatholicMatch as a community: Sure, I check for any new matches in my immediate area, but I also interact with other CatholicMatch members through frequent posting in the forums and by keeping my eyes open for events or get-togethers I’m able to attend. The more people I can meet, either online or in person, the better – even if they aren’t “the one,” they may have friends who just might be.

Why do you stay on CatholicMatch?

Being active on here has definitely benefited me in my social life. I’ve met some really awesome people, and I get a lot of valuable information and entertainment value by being active in the forums. I’ve also found the community here to be a great resource when I’ve been in need of support or prayers.

What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?

As a family we would always go to an early Mass on Christmas Eve and then have the rest of the evening to relax, reflect on the past year and enjoy my mother’s special homemade Potica bread. Nowadays, I have to buy my Potica from a store, but I still make a point of spending time with my father on Christmas.

What’s your hope for 2011?

That all of my CatholicMatch friends will find the partners they are seeking so that if I log in a year from now there will be lots of new success stories to read and a whole new cast of characters enjoying the CatholicMatch community.

Make a prediction for 2011.

Brett Favre will finally retire…or maybe he won’t…or maybe he’ll become a free agent…no, my prediction is that this is the end, he definitely will retire. I think.

Yeah! Michael made the list!!! Congratulations, Michael.

The key to doing well on CatholicMatch is getting out and meeting people. The more the merrier, and Michael is taking advantage of the opportunity to get to know some of the awesome people here through the events. It’s great that we all get to know each other through posting in the forums before meeting at events. It helps ease the jitters.

Thank you, Michael, for being a gentleman. I hope 2011 blesses you with your lady-love.

Michael — We’ve appreciated your wit and wisdom. Keep posting — often. I’m sure there are a lot of ladies who will notice Michael— the distinguished looking gent in the forums.
Best wishes for your father (I’m sure his new arrangement is less stressful for your), and yourself, that you may find what you are seeking.
    Blessings for the New Year……
    Ray
