“Romance is showing appreciation for your partner.” Joseph-248539

“It’s about sharing the good, the bad, the prayers, the laughter, the look across a room, or the quite times alone talking.”  Linda-624584

“It’s really all about the sincerity we have in our hearts, treasuring the gift of one another, and always maintaining sight of the fact that the fullness of love comes from God.” Dominick-174178

“Romance to me isn’t about the grand slams; it is about the small things that a person does for another person just because it makes them happy. I lost my husband of 23 years in April. Each and every day of our 23 years, he got up and made me a cup of coffee and brought me the paper in bed.” Linda-756196

“Holding hands while walking is one of the best things ever!” Patrick-466954

“I find romance in the unexpected things. A card or note left in a lunch bag, a call for no particular reason in the middle of a work day, a wildflower bouquet, a serenade with made up words. Anything that takes me away from the moment and turns my attention to him paying attention is romantic.”  Kathy-635104

    Wow this thread became popular…

For me to know that my spirit is safe with you, the words “I love you” have my soul in them.

No words need be spoken; a look into her eyes, the sound of your heart beat that is romance.

Knowing that someone is there loving you.

It’s a look, a touch, peace in their presence, a quietness of the heart and no words need spoken, you both just ARE and it’s sublime.

    Romance is…

A gentle hug at morning’s light,
A soft, sweet kiss to her delight,
A cup of coffee made just for her,
Brushing her hair, now that’s for sure!
Holding the umbrella as she walks to the car,
Just being the good guy that you are.
Taking her to lunch when you get the chance,
Holding her close at the Saturday night dance,
A bouquet of flowers when she least expects it,
    I know that’s one thing that’s always a hit!
Unconditional love that’s tried and true,
And telling her often “Sweetheart, I love you”.

Whether something is Romantic or not must be an opinion, I guess. Sorry I am not very Romantic lol.

Don’t mean to sound like a wet blanket here, but I feel that romance is letting go of common sense and doing what you’ve never dreamed of doing for the one you perceive to be the significant other. If that is true romance or not, it beats me, big time.

Being with the right person at the right time and being there for each other.

Romance to me is that significant moment when you look into each other eyes and you get that wonderful pit feeling that makes you say:OMG!”what is going on”. Your first cup of coffee or tea with each other. The long talks over the phone.Romance is appreciating, loving and respecting each other opinions.Romance is never being afraid to say I’m sorry!

Romance comes in simplicity. A love song, a movie, roses, flowers, a card, a walk in the park. If there is romance between a couple, whether it be a cold day ,a hot day, rainy day, windy day, you name it, if you ask the King of Kings, Our Creator, The Lord God Alighty, for the grace to bare with it, romance can be found and enjoyed, even in the above mentioned days. May Gods love enfold each and one of you that reads this message. Blessings!!!!!!!!!

romance is feeling of knowing someone or successfully finding someone you seemed to have known for a long time. candlelight dinner, talking in front of a fire quiet times to share but even with sharing it is as if you recognized the response given to you. The childlike feeling, The serious feeling and the quiet feeling each phase is acknowledged and understood by the other person.

Romance to me is the “spark” you feel THINKING of that particular person, the fireworks you have simply BEING who you are with that particular one, and the peace of KNOWING you both share a mutual love and respect for one another in and through Christ. :)
