Along with faith and love, hope is one of the theological virtues from God that is given freely as a gift; all you need to do is ask for it. If you are feeling discouraged today, consider saying a brief prayer, asking God to give you the graces you need and a large dose of hope.
When you live in hope, you are able to endure even the darkest of times with patience because you believe that God’s plan will lead you through this time of suffering to a life of peace and joy. When you live in hope, you make better decisions, allow God to work in your life, are able to face challenges head-on, and live a life of joyful anticipation of what God has in store for you. Trust in Him for He will not disappoint you!
Remain in me, as I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself, unless it remains part of the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. You did not choose me, no, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that the Father will give you anything you ask him in my name. – John 15: 4, 16
