Adjusting to life after divorce can be very difficult and painful. It may seem that you can’t escape the shadow that the reality of divorce creates. It can permeate your life. Try and create peace in the midst of this turmoil by identifying the one thing that you do that brings you even a moment’s peace. This is very different for each person. For some people it is prayer, for some it is listening to music, for others it is exercising, for others it is a long walk. Identify what it is for you and do it-every day. What you will find is that at first you may only have one minute of true peace, but over time that sense of peace will grow longer and longer each day. That is a sign that you are healing.
