Have you drifted away from your faith since your divorce? Maybe you feel angry, disconnected, or simply don’t understand if you are welcome? In dealing with divorce, we find ourselves starving for something to fill that horrible void and oftentimes we look to the wrong things for comfort… but the sacraments of reconciliation and the Eucharist can give you all that you need.
Christ feeds us with His own body and blood… that is how much He loves us! There is no need to hunger for fulfillment because the nourishment in the sacrament of the Eucharist is beyond comparison to any other thing we might be seeking comfort in and it is free for the taking. A wonderful priest once said: “The greatest danger is not to starve, but to convince yourself that you are not starving.” If you are drifting away, I offer this personal invitation, from me to you, to come back. I welcome you home because I know the sacraments are the very thing that will comfort and sustain you in times of trial.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. – John 6:35
