Lisa Duffy’s Daily Reflection

Going through a divorce and trying to make your way afterward can be incredibly daunting… there are so many times when your responsibilities, worries, and anxieties can overwhelm you like a tidal wave. But when you begin to feel overwhelmed by it all, step back, take some deep breathes and remember that God is with you. He sees it all. He knows your every thought and your every concern.

Remember the words of St. Paul: “By the grace of God, I am who I am.” You are able to do many things because God enables you to. He will give you the strength to achieve your goals and accomplish your necessary responsibilities. Most importantly, He will never give you a cross that is too heavy for you to bear. Take time each morning to renew your commitment to Christ and ask for His help in getting through the day.

For I will not trust in my bow, Nor will my sword save me. But You have saved us from our adversaries, and You have put to shame those who hate us. – Psalm 44:7
