There is so much grace and beauty that no longer exists in our society… we have lost that sense of nobility as a people.
In this instant-gratification lifestyle, we have lost our understanding of what it means to work long and hard for what we have. We’ve forgotten the virtues of perseverance and patience.
In decades past, a noble person would be described as one who never gave up the fight for what was good and who sacrificed himself for the good of others. Patience, perseverance, hard work, and sacrifice were the jewels in the prized crown of achievement that was received at the end.
Your divorce, as painful as it is, has given you the opportunity to show society once again what true nobility is. You have the chance to not only strengthen yourself through the practice of these important virtues, but also to be an example to those who are watching you. I had someone watching me during my struggle that I was unaware of. Years later, she told me how observing my courage and perseverance helped her in her own personal trial.
Don’t let your divorce drag you down. Ask God for the graces you need to persevere and carry your cross with nobility. He will give you all you need!
Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. – Proverbs 31:25
