The mere willingness of Jim to fly across the country to meet Reena touched her, and she found his sincerity and effort attractive. No less attractive was his commitment to the Catholic Church, particularly in her teachings on marriage and pro-life issues.
“When I arrived home, Matthew and I continued our long-distance relationship via phone and enjoyed praying the rosary with each other… (but) there was one night where we thanked each other for the time we had put into our relationship, cried our eyes out while praying and saying our goodbyes.” It seemed as though that was there things would end—on a gracious, yet sad note.
Over the course of the next three months she put together a list of traits that any future partner of hers would have to have. The list would end up with nine, and she gave it to God. “Here’s my heart,” she said to the Lord in prayer. “I’m going to wait and see.

Jacob & Sammi were each skeptical of online dating. Furthermore, they were separated by a 34-hour drive and neither one wanted a long-distance relationship. The percentage chance they would end up in the CatholicMatch member story archives could not have been very high.
But the Holy Spirit isn’t bound by “percentage chance” and He brought Jacob and Sammi together anyway.
