Yes, I went to an all girl Catholic School and loved it. I made friends there that I'm still friends with and still see after over 40 years. It created a bond that can never be broken and I received a better education than some of the friends I had that went to public schools.

My younger daughters both attended an all girl high school (sadly, no all male school available for their brother). For the younger girl, who is very introverted, it has proven to be a haven where inventiveness, sisterhood, and individuality are all encouraged and celebrated. And not only is it okay to be "smart", it's expected!!!

If she had attended a coed school she would have depended on her brother for all her friendships, and in the classroom she would have sat in the back and just muddled through. For kids like her who need a little more "growing up" time, it's a lifesaver. If I had had to send her to a regular school I would have felt I was throwing her to the wolves.
