I believe every individual needs some counseling. I am new here on this site and I can honestly sense an air or Perfectionism in so many members. There are many wonderful people here, both men and women who make great spouses. It is just that we need to avoid being Perfectionist and Ask the Holy Spirit for Guidance to choose and discern the right mate for us. He/she is not perfect. But their values are Similar to ours.

By all means we need not lower our standards. We need to be picky and selective and choosy. But we need to avoid being Too Picky.
