I'm familiar with St. Malachy, and no I don't. I am somewhat torn about the existence of Bigfoot, however.

I believe that we are ALL saints because that is what the bible says. All prophecy and revelation is given to us in the Bible. I also believe that God can use anyone of us to speak through. So, yes, if his prophecy lines up with the wore of God, I believe it. But I always do my own homework and check to see if it is indeed true. See Thessalonians 17:11. I don't believe that any one person has a corner on it.

I will point out codex vaticanus was also lost much like the prophecy of st. Malachy, only codex vaticanus is believed to be from the 4th century yet is still believed to be authentic. The prophecy was carefully examined before it was published. It all boils down to what is said in the movie "the song of Bernadette", "for those who believe in god, no explanation is necessary. If you don't believe in god, no explanation will suffice."

I'm usually a little skeptical when it comes to unapproved apparitions and private revelations. The problem with St Malachy's is being able to account for the authenticity of its source.. Writings that all of a sudden show up in a library, that was not accouned for, for several hundred years raises some yellow flags. Even if it can't be rejected just on this lack of accounting, it certainly can't be accepted by ignoring this important detail. Besides all that, the selection of Pope Francis being the last Pope doesn't seem to jive with the prophecy.
