Marys dating experience was limited to a nine-month relationship shed had in high school, but after three years at college, nothing was working. Her aunt and uncle had found each other online, and they recommended that she try a Catholic dating site.

In 2011, they took a walk on a starlit night, and on the side of a hill, Kyle proposed and Mary said yes.

Kyle, now 29-years-old, and Mary, age 26, were married this past June. Their strong faith is needed to carry them through a transitional point in their lives. Not only are they newlyweds, but circumstances require them to be apart. Kyle is in a masters program for engineering and Mary has begun work as a librarian, after getting her own masters degree.

The three hours distance they have is less than ideal, but this young couple has already learned about sacrificing to help the other reach their dreams and use their God-given talents. Their marriage is indeed built on the solid foundation they both wanted back in their undergraduate days.
