Sharon - we'll miss you - but we understand. Keep watching, you KNOW there will be other events down the road. Are you on FB? Find CAMA Indy there too, we post details there as well so we cover everyone.
Rose - I just sent you an email from my own yahoo account. Hope I can help.

One of our guests is allergic to mushrooms. If your food item includes them - please make a small sign to put near your dish so it can be avoided if need be. We have NOT included a trip to the ER in our schedule. :)
And Rod - you've got THAT right - it's a fantastic group of people. With room for more.....

Chili Cook Off is NEXT Saturday! Woo Hoo!
35-37 attendees expected, including a handful of first timers! WELCOME Andrea, Beth, Brenda, Laurel, Maryrose, Tracy, Regina and Brian!
We expect 20-23 for Sunday brunch - the fun continues!
Reminder: 5:30pm mass at OLMC, party begins at 7pm at Rob's house. BYOB and your pitch ins. Contact me with your info if you haven't already done so. If you need directions - get in touch.
We have 8 chili entries for the contest - there is room for more if anyone else wants to enter. Cooks - pls bring FULL crock pots, hidden completely when you bring it in to the kitchen to give to the organizers. (need enough for everyone to taste test and vote.)

Well, since I can't get a commitment from work, I will be attending. Do you still need a chili entry? If so, I can oblige. If not, I can bring an appetizer or whatever you need to fill in on Saturday evening. Will stay at my sister's. Will attend Mass. As far as Sunday goes, let me know. Quiche or breakfast casserole?

Laurel - it'll be great to meet you! Hugs are a'plenty at our Indy gatherings! Just change your own status at the top of the event page. Can you get messages here on CM? (If not, let me know how to reach you.) I'll get with you on pitch ins and the address and directions. YES there is plenty of room for overnight. We're actually putting most of the ladies at Hotel Nancy for Saturday night - it's easier with more bathrooms to get ready in the morning.

Time to nail down some specifics -
Those of you 'on the fence' about attending - please change that 'maybe' to a 'YES' and come join us. And those that have NOT posted your pitch ins, overnight accommodations, etc - PLEASE get that info to me ASAP. We need to finalize details. Thank you!
REALLY looking forward to meeting everyone! The hugs will be flowing.......

Hi Mary! I can't commit just yet because I'm still waiting to see IF I can actually come! lol So, tentatively, I will say I am NOT bringing a chili entry this year. I will stay at my sister's down the road. I can fill in with whatever you need for Friday night, and can make quiche or a breakfast casserole for Sunday. I hope that helps a little.

Tracy - I'll private message detailed directions within a week. It's VERY easy to find. You won't have any problems.
EVERYONE - There are many attendees who haven't given us the info we need - mass? Chili entry? Overnight / where? Pitch in item for Sat pm? Pitch in item for Sun AM? PLEASE get that info to us (you can post in comments here) so we know how things are looking in terms of food. THANKS!

I am finally committing to attend.
In regards the details above...I will arrive on Saturday at Rob's before church to drop goodies off. I will be driving, no guests. Not bringing chili...I have a feeling there are some very serious chili cookers. I, alas, am not one, so I will be leaving that to the experts! At this point, I will bring raspberryand/or blueberry muffins for Sunday morning. I am leaning towards pasta salad for Saturday night. Who knows...I might bring along something else just for fun! I am planning on spending the night if there is room at Rob's. I want to get the full experience of the Indy group! I will message Mary with my contact details. I am getting excited to meet everyone!

Still waiting to hear if I will have to work that Saturday. If I CAN make it, I won't be entering the contest this year. Let some of the other folks participate. It also looks like someone else will be doing their version of breakfast pizza, so I'll pass on that as well. I hope to have an answer from my client soon. Then I can find out what is needed to fill in. I hope not to miss this one. I already missed the Christmas party. Alas, maybe you all are getting tired of me anyway? lol

Brenda, Tracy, Andrea, and Beth, I am very much looking forward to meeting you and having some of the best fun that is out there with you!! We know how to have a good time and we love to share it with new people! So, welcome y'all!!!
I'm wondering how many chili's we have signed up!

This all sounds like "Hoosier Hospitality" at its best! I told two of my daughters I was planning on participating and Angie thought it was a great idea. She was hoping I'd want to get out and make some new single friends. Her family will be in Indy for a car show on Saturday...I think they just want to keep tabs on ole' mom! Seriously, I'm so relieved she was supportive. I wasn't sure how the kids would feel about me doing things without their dear dad. I don't have to worry about telling the other kids now because I'm sure the 'cat's out of the bag' already! lol

Tracy and Andrea - so glad you are joining us!
Andrea - I've got you down for brownies, sounds good to me! If you can't make it to Rob's by 5, just meet us at church.
Tracy - Fri is informal friendly gathering, everyone helps with set up. Plan to stay at Rob's then too, bring an air mattress and bedding. Sat the set up folks usually go someplace inexpensive for late breakfast or early lunch. There are no fees since we are hoping everyone is generous with pitch ins. If there is anything else you'd like to bring - feel free. Let me know what you decide to bring for Sat night from your recipe box. I'll decide right now that you bring the sausage for brunch - can't get any fresher than that! We've gotten together in March a few times, usually for March Madness.
NOTE TO EVERYONE: There WILL be a good will offering collection jar - any contributions.to help offset misc event costs are appreciated. We also use this as a support fund for our group - and it definitely needs replenishing. Thanks.

OK...I will drive up by myself on Friday (I hope) in order to meet you all and get my bearings. I must check the schedule, but I will definitely be there Sat. at Rob's, attend Mass and reserve my spot on the floor! I'll save the chili for the more competetive-minded. I'll private message you my contact info.
Are there plans for Friday night, or just a friendly gathering?
What are the fees/ contribution for incidentals?
Do you ever have St. Patrick's Day get-togethers?
For Saturday night, I need to look through my recipe box first to find the perfect dish/appetizer.
For my Sunday brunch contribution, I'll leave it up to you all to vote...
Breakfast Pizza (it really is better than it sounds)
Fresh Sausage Patties..and I do mean fresh. My three hogs were taken to the butcher this very day!
