My parish use to have a young adult group and the times I went it was very small and all they talked about was going to bars and drinking.. I am a non drinker and I was there hoping to not only meet people but to also grow in my faith and it was clear that wasn't going to happen. The group no longer existed a couple of months later. It's a shame! There are a few other Catholic churches near me but not groups for us in our early to mid 20's!

The group I belonged to at church was basically retired people who were divorced, many of the young adults didn't join because of it.

I find the real void is groups for single Catholics over 45. There are plenty of young adult groups (usually a mix of single and married) but once you get older it is very hard to meet practicing Catholics who really follow the Church's teachings.

There is a big void in Catholic Adult Singles Groups according to your poll. There are many, many lonely widowed/divorced Catholics who would love to meet another single, adult, Catholic mate to share/enhance their lives. So many other "faiths" regard this issue with a "Singles Ministry" within individual churches. Why is the Catholic church so lagging behind???

Where I am in Adelaide, SA, there are No Catholic Singles groups at all. Certainly not for persons 25 to 60. Most Catholic youth groups have cutoff ages from 25-30. If you are 30 and over and Catholic, there is nothing.

I go to a Catholic young adults group at Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach, FL - catholicyam.com A young couple runs it and it's really good with a bible study and some fun social activities. Some people are starting up one again in the Fall at Ascension in Melbourne, FL. I wish my parish would start one too...Holy Name (biggest parish in Brevard county) I'm looking at you!
