How can I remove my account?

First, please know that we are very sorry to see you go. If there is anything that our staff can do to make things right or if you'd like to share any information about your experience on CatholicMatch, we definitely want to hear from you. At your convenience, please feel free to write to customer support.

When your account is removed, you will have the option to recover your account for the next 30 days, in case you change your mind. After this time, you will have to recreate your profile if you decide to return. While refunds are not offered for unused portions of subscriptions, you will be able to sign back into your account to take advantage of your subscription until it's scheduled expiration date.

Alternatives to Account Removal:
  • If your intention is to take a temporary break from the site, we recommend updating your Profile Status to remove your account from search results and matches.
  • If you no longer want to be charged for a subscription, but would like to avail of the free account option, disable your automatic renewal.

What should I do if I am having trouble signing in?

If you're having trouble signing in, first ensure that you are entering your email address and password exactly as you provided it in your CatholicMatch account. If you have forgotten your password, please select the following link: Reset Password

After entering your email address on the Reset Password page:

  • Enter your email inbox
  • Open the email entitled Reset Password
  • Within 24 hours, select the link entitled Click here to create a new password
  • Decide on your new password and enter it into both the New Password and Confirm New Password fields
  • Select Save Changes
  • Sign into your CatholicMatch account using your new password

How can I sign out of my account?

If you use a computer that anyone else can access, especially those who may visit CatholicMatch, it is important to remember to sign out of your account when you're finished using the site.

To sign out of your account:
  • Select the Gear Icon in the upper right corner of your screen to open your settings menu
  • Choose the option to Sign Out

How can I change my location?

The location listed in your profile is used to determine the center-point for your suggested matches and to determine who will see you in their search results, so it's important to make sure that it is accurate.

If you have moved within the same country:

  • Open your settings menu by selecting the Gear Icon in the upper right corner of your screen
  • Select Account
  • Select Review / Update located within the Basic Information section of your Account Page
  • Enter your new zip code into the appropriate field
  • Select Submit to save your changes

How can I change my email address or password used to sign in?

These instructions should be used if you already know your current login information. If you cannot remember the password that you chose for your account, please Reset your Password If you are unsure of the email address that is listed in your account, Contact Customer Support

Password Changes

  • Open your settings menu by selecting the Gear Icon in the upper right corner of your screen
  • Select Account
  • Select Review / Update located within the Sign In Information section of your Account Page
  • Enter your current password into the top field
  • Enter your new password into the New Password and Confirm New Password Fields
  • Select Change Password to save your changes

Email Address Changes

  • Open your settings menu by selecting the Gear Icon in the upper right corner of your screen
  • Select Account
  • Select Review / Update located within the Basic Information section of your Account Page
  • Enter your new email address into the Email Address Field
  • Select Submit to save your changes

What is the CatholicMatch guarantee?

If you don't meet someone special within the first six months of membership, we'll give you and additional six months free to continue your search.

To qualify for the guarantee:

  • You must be free to marry in the Catholic Church
    • If your marital status is listed in your account as "divorced", you are not eligible for the guarantee until you contact customer support to show documentation of your annulment or lack of canonical form decree.
  • Purchase six-month subscription after September 9, 2013
  • Complete all sections of your profile, including a profile photo & four additional album photos
  • Contact at least one new person each week

Where can I find the status of my CatholicMatch Guarantee eligibility?

If you purchased a qualifying Guarantee Subscription, your eligibility status can be found on your Account Page. Select Review/Update to see a more detailed breakdown on your Guarantee Page.

Your eligibility is updated once you have completed all requirements for the current 4-week period. Once it has been verified that your profile is complete and you have sent 4 messages for the month, the status will update from Ineligible to Eligible.

Why am I not receiving email notifications?

You may have disabled your email notifications, marked our emails as spam, or your email provider may be delivering them to your spam folder or not delivering them at all.

  • First, review your Account Settings page to determine your email notification settings. If yes is marked next to the email type, this means that we will send email notifications to you when you are not logged into your CatholicMatch account
  • Check your Spam/Trash folder in your email account to see if our emails may have been marked as spam by your email provider
  • If you are a Gmail user, check in your Promotions or Updates tab as our emails tend to be delivered there more often than not
  • Add Noreply@catholicmatch.com to your list of Safe Senders
  • If this still doesn't work, you may need to contact your Email Provider and request they remove us from their blacklist.

What should I do after meeting someone?

Congratulations on your success!

We always love to hear when members have met each other as a result of CatholicMatch. We invite you to share your story for possible inclusion in the CatholicMatch Institute Blog.

Next, if you feel that you might want to save a copy of your conversation with your significant other, forward it to your email inbox by opening the conversation and selecting Forward to Email. We will store a copy of your conversation for up to one year after the last message is sent, however, after that time we will no longer be able to retrieve it.

You have a few options when it comes to your account and profile:
  • If you think there's a chance you may return to the site for any reason Update your Profile Status. This will remove your profile from appearing in other members' search results and match lists while preserving your profile. Those who access your profile will see the status of your choosing so they will be aware that you are not seeking at this time.
  • If you're sure that you won't be needed your profile any longer click here to remove your account

Can I get a new member id number?

Each account is assigned it's own unique member id number which cannot be changed.

You are welcome to remove your existing account and create a new account using a different email address, however, please know that we cannot transfer any information from your old account to your new account. This includes any communication, favorites/hidden lists, forum posts, views, billing information, or your subscription.

How can I update my email settings?

Your email preferences can be changed from your Account Settings page:

  • Select Account Settings from your Profile menu
  • Select No next to any notification you do not wish to receive
  • Select Yes next to any notification you do wish to receive
  • Select Save Changes

Occasional promotional emails are sent to all members with an active account and cannot be disabled without removing your account entirely.
