CM Boston

Last fall Catholic Match members arrived in New England, for
the 1st Annual CM gathering in the historic city of Boston. The committee that put together the ’05
event is building off that success and looking forward to welcoming their
fellow CMers to the land of clam chowder, American history and beautiful autumn
foliage again this October.

October 6-8 will be the weekend of CM Boston 2006. The itinerary
for the event is still in the planning stages, but ideas being considered are a
walk along Freedom Trail—the best way to see the historic sites of our nation’s
founding—along with the Duck Tours that take the visitor around the city by
both land and water, via the Charles River. Boston is also home to
Bulfinch Pub, the inspiration for the legendary sitcom Cheers.

Saturday night will see popular Catholic apologist Mark Shea address
the attendees. Shea is a convert from Protestantism and a renowned
expert on the biblical basis for Catholic teachings.

CM Boston is the showcase event for one of our most active
online communities. Catholic Match
members in this area stay active throughout the year, and past activities have
included a hiking trip and regular monthly dinner get-togethers.

The possibilities are endless for those who want to reach
out and make a visit to one of America’s
great cities and meet other members of CM away from the computer and in a
relaxed group setting. Continue to check the events calendar
for updates
throughout the spring and summer. Those with other questions or
suggestions can e-mail the event organizer, Becky-68929, either here on
