Walter-181370: ‘I Search For Love Even More Ardently’

By Walter-181370

Good Friday has arrived!

I am still single and alone, but I do grow closer to God at this holy time of the year.

Throughout Lent I’ve read more spiritual literature and spent more time in prayer, all while relishing the warmer weather and the many signs of spring. They make my heart grow fonder, and I search for love even more ardently. Spring is my favorite season, a season of love.

But I’m not searching for fleeting affection. I only search for true love and the only way is to follow and believe in all the teachings of our faith. Through the readings of Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, I now fully understand what true love is. It’s a must-read.

My true love is coming soon, and I am looking forward to the greatest happiness in my remaining years. It is a time of sweet anticipation, as I await my annulment and dream of my future.

I have embraced Lent, making room for more closeness with God. It was been a time for the sacrament of penance, for yet another beginning.

Tonight, as we reflect on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us, I am filled with love and gratitude. So much joy awaits us.

Reflection question: What sacrifice are you willing to make for Jesus?
