CatholicMatch Announces Winners Of Lenten Writing Contest

CatholicMatch has named the three winners of its Lenten writing contest. Congratulations to first-place winner Elizabeth-521570, whose reflection “Why Am I Still Single?” elicited thousands of views.

Our second-place winner, Andy-246798, wrote a popular reflection about giving up dating for Lent. And our third-place winner, Erik-215414, generated 26 comments responding to his reflection “No One Said This Was Going To Be Easy.”

As a prize, CatholicMatch sent Elizabeth a Casio 10.1 megapixel camera. Andy received a Kindle and Erik received a Garmin GPS.

“Ho-lee-cow,” Erik emailed the day his Garmin arrived. “I’m blown away by the prize. Perfect timing, too, as I’m heading out for a 16-day cross-country road trip this summer.”

CatholicMatch is planning to publish the 40 reflections chosen for its Lenten blog series as a booklet. Stay tuned for more details!

I do not have a story but I would like to. I am a widowed senior woman looking for a 75 – 85 gent who is young at heart. Likes to dine, dance, play bridge and or Mexican train or Rumicube, or any board game. Likes to walk, talk, and I live in Leisure World of Silver Spring, MD. Anyone interested?
