Dear all, I am pleased and deeply moved to see the photo gallery of a father as a single parent. I am also a single parent, so I understand how they feel. In our country Indonesia, a single parent like me (a woman) will be considered one eye by those around him, even considered as a domestic threat to others, I often have this treatment.
But I was determined to be strong and prove to the world that I can certainly educate and nurture our hearts into 3 kids (our children) and I am not a home wrecker others.
Time proved that until now I still own (13 years my husband has been facing the beloved of God – by accident) and now our children are teenagers, aged between 19-22 years, and is studying at a leading Catholic university in Indonesia. I am proud of them, their children are well and independently.
Thank God is always there when I need it.

Congratulations to single fathers and father survived the day for you all. I pray for the happiness of fathers and their children. God Bless all the fathers … !!!

I think that is really cool! I would feel so much better if I can partner with another single dad only because then we will all be in the same page… There are so many things to take into consideration when trying to date and kids are involved in our lives. Thank God for single fathers!

Single dads who do a good job of it (or even try to) fly right in the face of everything that modern society expects. So be it! Blessed be all those who go against the grain. These 19 men are awesome! My son told me today that he loved me, so I must be doing a little something right. At 4 years old, the “what I’d really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys, see you later, can I have them, please” motivation is a few years off…

How many here remember the old “dad and son” shows, all exquisitely done, that were popular before the social revolution to make manhood and fatherhood irrelevant?

    My Three Sons
    The Courtship of Eddie’s Father
    The Andy Griffith Show
Family Affair (not literally a dad, but for all practical purposes)
and let’s not forget The Beverly Hillbillies (though Elly May would never be mistaken for a son…)

There may be more. Happy Father’s Day, because for us dads…

EVERY day is Father’s Day!!! Oremus pro invicem…
