Cardinal Dolan Among TIME’s 100 Most Influential

Cardinal Timothy Dolan named among TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in the world

Congratulations to Cardinal Timothy Dolan for landing among TIME magazine’s prestigious “100 Most Influential People in the World” list, which includes Warren Buffet, President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Chelsea Handler, Tim Tebow, Stephen Colbert and Sara Blakely, the creator of Spanx undergarments.

Jon Meacham’s short write-up of Cardinal Dolan describes his “good cheer” and ability to lead “more by charm than fiat.” It also credits him for effectively protesting the HHS mandate

In leading the opposition to a proposed Obama Administration rule that would have required Catholic organizations like hospitals to pay for contraceptive services for female employees, Dolan successfully argued that such a policy violated the nation’s principles of religious liberty.

Single Catholics, we want to know how you’ve been influenced by Cardinal Dolan. And what do you make of the rest of TIME’s list? Who should’ve been included? Who made the list but doesn’t deserve a spot?
