Ansel works as the coordinator of Black Youth & Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. He is also on the faculty of the Institute of Black Catholic Studies of Xavier University of Louisiana. He has been doing youth and young adult ministry for more than 10 years in his home of New Orleans. Ansel has spent the last few years rebuilding his archdiocese following Hurricane Katrina. He has written several articles and done conferences around the country relating to ministry. His hobbies are weightlifting, reading, and writing.
