I am passionate about serving others especially those in need of grace. I have been involved in the church since I was a child. I have taught CCD, worked as a youth minister, campus minister and currently Music Minister. I have a degree in education and music with and emphasis in instrumental music and vocal. I taught middle school band for 10 years. Worked as a counselor for 3 years and have always worked in music in a variety of denominations, and yes I was still a catholic boy, never converted. I am currently the Music Director of Our Lady, Queen of the Universe. I also work part time as a general music teacher at Oakwood Adventist Academy in Huntsville. I have no plans of joining the priesthood, but am currently a lay minister in the Diocese of Birmingham and a Salvatorian Lay Minister (religious). So I feel very deeply called to serve very, but also have a desire to have a significant other and family of my own. f God permits me to find someone, I may consider becoming a deacon. I am considered, at least for myself to be a late bloomer. I am not a very fancy person, I don't require frills. I have made mistakes and had struggles, but have always moved forward and trusted in Gods Mercy and Grace. I am not big on fame, but instead on being a gift to others. I am technically a classically trained musician (trumpet and voice), but I favor the 60's folk era of music. I also play acoustic guitar and a little piano. The acoustic guitar for pleasure and the piano because I have to. Church work has been very influential to me as that has been my home. I am the product of a single parent, mother, and do not know my father personally. People who influenced me include my teachers and Priest / Sister that served our community. I have been blessed to study with great musicians and to travel to Europe for a few music tours. I have had the pleasure of conducting and singing in some of the Churches in Europe. I consider teaching to be my first blessing, then music, as far as talents. I enjoy helping people see the value of themselves as a child of God regardless of creed. I also enjoy helping people see the beauty thy resides in nature, music and literature. I like movies of all genres, a good hot cup of tea and simple conversation. Unfortunately these are things best shared with other and for some time I have been a loner. That being said, I do desire companionship developed thought a strong friendship. .

"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" This is the way I was taught in. Catholic household. A strong Marian grandmother who made sure our education was catholic and strong. Seven children all blessed with catholic education from kindergarten to high school was my parents dream. I was always involved in catholic youth programs throughout my school years. I wanted to become a nun but my inquiry time just did not work so I became involved in sacramental prep. I am currently the DRE for my parish with a strong focus on sacraments and RCIA. My grandparents, parents, teachers and spiritual mentors helped me grow and continue to guide me on my journey. My love for the Eucharist is the greatest love of my faith. In my leisure I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren, reading, cooking, movies, dancing and enjoying life. I try to attend a retreat to strengthen my faith and broaden my knowledge.
