64, Huntsville, ALI am a cradle Catholic with 12 years of parochial school under my belt, and proud to be a woman with a deep love of God, the Virgin Mary, the Saints, and the Martyrs. But I am also a thinking praying woman who doesn't always buy into all the dogma. For example, I believe individuals must wrestle with their own consciences and, if they've come to peace after that, for the most part who am I to judge? I also believe in Purgatory and the afterlife, but not that admittance to Heaven is limited to baptized Christians. The God I revere is larger than that. My goal every day is to look in the mirror without shame before retiring, knowing that I have wronged no one in thought or deed ,and may even have helped some. I am 64 yo, one daughter in the neighborhood; and 5 brothers scattered around the country. My Mother and Father each passed while under my care (my Mom under my own roof) and I trust they are now with my only sister who passed first, at a young adult age. Although I have scaled back some since becoming newly-single, I volunteer for dog rescue and love animals of all kinds. I have two dogs, one cat, and three birds in residence with me now. I enjoy going to the theater (especially musicals), street festivals of any kind, dining out, reading, card-playing, and warm conversation. I am not athletic in an organized sports fashion, but I walk 2-3 miles every day and love to swim. I'm of average height, build, weight, wrinkles, and sags. Above-average intelligence. Starting to think I may have some hearing loss developing, as I find myself saying "I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" more and more often lately. I have been married twice - from 1972 to 1985, and from 2001 to 2013.
56, Bessemer, ALI am a christian woman in search of a christian man. Im not catholic. As longas he is willing to accet my belief. Just having someone to love you and you love them back.
44, Birmingham, ALI pay my own bills, so I don't need to be anyone's queen. I expect you to be a hardworking man who can take care of his own business, too. I don't consider myself old - far from it. But I am a grown woman who knows what she wants in a relationship. I don't want to waste anyone's time, so you may find this profile blunt. I'm independent, but love romance. True romance - dates, hand holding, surprises. I don't need to be told what you'll do to romance me. I need you to be a committed partner and do those things. I work with words, so they are important to me. Know the difference between know and no, they're and there, and don't use chat speak if you want to impress me. Words are expression. Words are poetic. Let's use them that way, in an honest fashion, to grow our affection. Education is important to me. I have a degree. You should, too. I look exactly like I do in my photos, and they are current. I'd appreciate the same from you. I don't mind an evening at home, but it shouldn't be the norm. I want to see places and experience life! While I'm not into rushing a relationship, I know that chatting forever or weeks of phone conversations aren't for me. So, lets grab a coffee, or snow cone and chat face to face. If we hit it off, great! If not, we can call it friendship and move on. So, if you are an educated, kind, thoughtful, ambitious man who likes what I have to offer, send me a message and let's see if we are a match! A little more about me: I listen to music more than I watch TV. I love road trips, but I'm a bad driver. I enjoy bowling and I'm starting to have doubts that I am good at Poker. I never keep score when I play tennis. I'm a Redskins and a Saints fan, but couldn't name more than one or two players on either team. I love my job, but know how to leave work at the office and enjoy my time off. I love going to the beach. I give up caffeine every other week. If you're actively seeking a relationship and still remember what a date is, I'd love to hear from you.
