28, Mobile, ALI am your typical southern belle. I grew up in Louisiana with nine siblings and have strong family values. I currently live in Mobile and work in Pascagoula. My Catholic faith is a big part of my life, and I am heavily involved in the community. My morals and values are very important to me and looking to meet individuals who feel the same. I love meeting new people and attending social functions within the area. I love taking on projects around my house and have previously flipped a house. I have a huge interest in technology and the latest gadgets. I recently obtained my real estate license and am hoping to start making some extra money on the side. For those familiar with Myers Briggs, I am an ESTJ which means that I can come across as demanding and opinionated. I hold strong traditional social and family values and am skilled at organization and time management. I need a man who will listen to me and make me feel understood, but also capable of leading an alpha female. I have a few wounds of the past so it might take me a bit to be able to trust. You just need to make it clear to me that you are going to stick around in difficult times and in times of need.
66, Daphne, ALI have been widowed twice .My first husband and I were married for 24 years and to my second husband for 14 years. I had very good marriages that ended because of cancer. I am a retired registered nurse. I have 2 grown and married daughters who have blessed me with eight grandchildren. I moved to this area from southern IL to be near my daughter and family. I like to keep busy.
51, Montgomery, ALThe most influential people in my life have been my parents, brothers & and a couple special friends along the way. My mom modeled her Catholic faith unlike anybody else I've ever known. There have been a couple coaching friends (I coached college baseball for a few years) that influenced me greatly as well. The way the ran their programs and dealt with their players. I've had a reversion of sorts to my Catholic faith back in September/October 2010 when a special friend came into my life and modeled their faith in a very excited way that it flipped my switch to learn more about my faith. By listening to many Lighthouse Catholic Media CD's and then attending a Cursillo retreat, I've learned so much about the Catholic faith and thereby actually taken ownership of it. In my leisure time I enjoy working out and trying to stay in shape, playing golf (and trying to find my ball in the woods as a result, ;).... ), hunting/fishing, and even ball room dancing. I enjoy live music and dancing in general as well. Just in my blood. A little fyi.... For those women reading this who reject the teaching of the church on pre-marital sex, I urge you to join me in pursuing a pure and chaste dating life. And accept nothing less from the guy who pursues you! I've been committed to a pure and chaste lifestyle since November 2010 (when the fire was lit for my faith), and have never looked back. Yes, it's a battle and struggle at times, but it's so worth it. My mind so much clearer when getting to know a woman I meet for lunch or dinner, who I'm considering dating. When there's no sexual agenda, it's such a purer "get to know you session." I honestly believe us men who constantly pursue sexual favors from women when dating them have worn y'all down all these years, and thereby you've dropped your bar way down to our level. I bet every woman in the world, when younger, believe and hope the they'll be a virgin when they marry (and so will the man if they're very lucky). But at least they'll be one. And as they start dating, realize it's impossible to find man who cherishes their purity, and eventually give in. And thereby raising the chances for divorce later on should they get married. There's so much good material out there that sells the pure and chaste lifestyle. Jason & Christina Evert have tons of it. "I kissed dating goodbye" by Joshua Harris rocked my world. The best way to tame a man is by dating him in a pure and chaste manner. Aren't you worth it?
51, Auburn, ALMusic. Classical guitar. Recording studios. Performance in church and coffee houses. Science. Astronomy. Oceanography. Whale watching. Flying. Musicians, Professors, and family and friends have exercised the most influence in my life. Attending college, my national service, and my career in aviation have been the most rewarding experiences.
26, Montgomery, ALRecent convert to Catholicism. I work for the Air Force and I am new to Alabama. I'm open to try almost anything, and love learning new things. No pets yet, but I'm open to that too!
28, Decatur, ALHello, thanks for stopping by. I'm an introvert that is a people person and so pretty good at faking being a extrovert... I don't know how that works. I'm passionate about my convert faith and learning more about it. My Family. Music and movies of all kinds. Creative Writing and coming up with plots and stories. Asking the stupid questions that turn out not to be so stupid. I'm also an avid people person/pleaser and like to make people around me feel comfortable, usually through a wisecrack ice-breaker and humor. I also think too much and am a bit random... there are logical connections with what comes out of my mouth they're just not readily apparent sometimes to those not living in my head. I'm also enthusiastic about anything or anyone that can show me a new way of looking at things. The people that have most effected my life would have to be my parents, a whole slew of Priests, Sisters, and Brothers, and honestly several people I've met in the Average Joe work force. In my off time I enjoy reading, writing, going for walks (rain can be a plus), and watching movies (good and terrible ones for differing entertainment needs).
51, Athens, ALHey, I'm trying to learn to play the guitar. I love to cook and I'm always trying to get better. I like working out but not as much as I should. Giggle
68, Harvest, ALI love to wake up and thank God for the day first thing! I am passionate about volunteering offering my time and talent to decorating the altar and vestibule during season changes. I am also a greeter which offers to me the wonderful opportunity to smile and welcome the people as they enter the church. I am passionate and care about my children and their significant others. They have kept me buoyed since the death of my husband in 2000. We have become closer than ever especially with my two grands. I call it unconditional love. They are very supportive of my finding someone who will walk with me and make me smile and laugh. Probably the most influential thing to happen to me in life was the travel that we experience when we were in the military. We lived all over the US and then spent 5 years in Germany with extensive exposure to so many cultures and experiences offered by so many layers of exciting foods, beautiful art and architecture as well as people who loved the US and our presence in their country. For leisure I start my day at the pool and water exercise. I like to do that 4 or 5 times a week. Hiking is the other outlet that I enjoy especially the landscape, birds and nature in general. The serenity is just amazing!! I really enjoy lifelong learning in our Osher group at UAH. Keeping my mind sharp with learning so many new things without any stress or strain is wonderful! There are many like minded people who I would probably never meet otherwise so there is a doubly positive situation! We also go on awesome field trips and often have a group trip overseas planned. This year is Spain! Enjoy movies, museums, concerts, and plays a lot!! Probably missed something but feel free to ask!
