39, Cooper Landing, AKHi my name Is John and I live in a small town called Cooper Landing. It is 100 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska. My main goal in life is to make it to heaven. My hobbies include playing, writing and learning about music. I also enjoy reading books, watching movies, cross-stitching and riding my motorcycle. I think that marriage is a lifetime commitment that shouldn't be taken lightly. I believe that when two people go into it with the same intention that it can be a blessing. I am a smoker but am trying to quit.
26, Kaktovik, AKI'm a preschool teacher on a small island in northern Alaska. Due to my location I am a long distance Catholic, the nearest church is more than 100 miles away! I try to maintain a strong faith knowing that someday I'll be able to resume regular Masses, until then I try to view it as chance to grow in my personal faith much as the religious hermits of old... I really enjoy writing and painting but also love the amazing outdoors! I tend to lean towards more disorganized but have been paring down on the amount of 'stuff' that I own. I am a cat person but have had pet dogs as well. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis. I prefer family films to most other movies but will go for the occasional action/ adventure film. Background: When I first started college I was going for a degree in theology. That period of my life was my darkest spiritually speaking. All of a sudden faith wasn't in my heart, it was in my head. I even stopped attending Sunday mass. After changing majors I worried about what I had done until a FOCUS conference where my heart was touched in a very profound and painful manner during Adoration. After Confession I felt a lightness I had not had since childhood. I am a more soft-spoken individual at first, but once I know someone I'll open up, I feel that listening is one of my strong suits. I love traveling, I've done long road trips since childhood and think nothing of an eight hour car trip! There is so much of the world to see and so many wonderful peoples and cultures to meet that I can never stay put for long! This past summer I spent seven weeks in Europe going from Portugal to Poland in order to attend World Youth Day. I travelled solo for the first five weeks and had an absolutely amazing time visiting Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Slovakia, and Poland. I had a rough idea of places to see but also made up a lot of it as I went. There were misadventures to be sure - but now I miss the spontaneity of never being exactly sure what was going to happen next.
61, Anchorage, AKI'm a lady looking to make new friend(s) to spend time with and enjoy what life has to offer. I've raised a family and I am about to retire from my job, so I find myself thinking about the future and ways to make the most of my time. My three children are now young adults and I have a big family scattered around the state. My interests are hiking with my dogs and going on road trips exploring new places and meeting people. I also like to go camping and fishing and sit around a camp fire telling stories. I hope to travel more in retirement and volunteer. I am an award winning quilter and have a strong desire to create beautiful things, I also knit and read a lot. I hit the gym 3-4 times a week and enjoy cooking for family and friends. I'm loyal to a fault and have simple values borne of my wonderful parents and family, as well as a parochial education. Drop me a line and lets chat!
65, Two Rivers, AKI have a good sense of humor, if you don't like to have fun, look elsewhere. I like dogs, cats, optional. I like honesty. Don't ask if a dress makes you look big if you can't take an honest answer. I like most things mechanical, history, cooking, going places, and a place to call home. I have started the annulment process. Interesting process, almost like an Ignation retreat with all the self inspection.
32, Girdwood, AKHi all! This is where I try to sell how awesome I am, right? I don't know about awesome, but I think I'm a pretty solid fella. I can't claim to say I've checked out other men's profiles but I will venture to guess I'm not like many of them. I'm blessed to have a job/career that I love and feel I'm meant for. My interests are many. Do I really need to make a list? I'm new to this site and to be honest don't feel entirely comfortable baring my soul for all the internet to behold. Besides, I'm so much more than words in little boxes could possibly do justice to. I'm filling this out via phone on a boat in the middle of nowhere so its a work in progress. Thanks for looking and for your patience!

47, Anchorage, AKI am passionate about church, family and the outdoors. I need to be outdoors everyday, just walking the dog, bicycling, skiing or canoeing. God made a beautiful world for us and we need to get out and appreciate it. I enjoy volunteering in my community to stay connected, and in other countries also. I enjoy spending time with my parents and children. My children are almost grown and it is great to see them becoming more independent and grown up. One is in last year of high school and one in college. We have a huge extended family and it is so fun when we have reunions. I am German Catholic, with roots in a small German farming community in the midwest, although I was born and raised in Alaska. We were able to meet with 23 extended family members in Hawaii last year for my parents 50th anniversary. It was a special time to appreciate the family and blessings that we have. I am quiet sometimes, talkative sometimes I am a good listener...
