38, Anchorage, AKHey! I am someone who loves this world. I have a diverse range of interests and curiosities. I am passionate about learning and understanding. I am an avid reader of history and science. I am optimistic by nature. I am half introvert and half extrovert. I am kind. I am a gentleman.
73, Anchorage, AKI am a Native New Yorker now living in Alaska (since 1974) and loving it. Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Philippines 1965-67). Have been around the world, once. College Graduate. Attended Catholic schools through high school, taught by Amityville Dominicans. I think I have a good sense of humor, and would value the same in a match. Married once, late in life, and recently widowed. I am independent, love the outdoors--e.g., camping, fishing, rv-ing. I also love animals, and at the present time have a calico cat. Now all I need is a gingham dog. I like to garden, both vegetables and flowers. Music and books are passions of mine. I like to cook, and I do enjoy a mixed drink or wine on occasion. I am frugal but not cheap. I am more a "Mary" than a "Martha". I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. Family and close friends are very important to me. I am in relatively good health and try to live a healthy lifestyle. I am hoping to find a companion to celebrate our golden years together, but am not in a hurry to jump into a relationship.
50, Fairbanks, AKI am a farm boy from Oklahoma. Born and raised on the farm....Love rual living but have been living in a city for several years. I am a simple person with good values and morals. Work hard at my job and try to be a good role model for my kids . .
33, Girdwood, AKHi all! This is where I try to sell how awesome I am, right? I don't know about awesome, but I think I'm a pretty solid fella. I can't claim to say I've checked out other men's profiles but I will venture to guess I'm not like many of them. I'm blessed to have a job/career that I love and feel I'm meant for. My interests are many. Do I really need to make a list? I'm new to this site and to be honest don't feel entirely comfortable baring my soul for all the internet to behold. Besides, I'm so much more than words in little boxes could possibly do justice to. I'm filling this out via phone on a boat in the middle of nowhere so its a work in progress. Thanks for looking and for your patience!
23, Delta Junction, AKI am an English teacher determined to instill the love of reading within my pupils and I teach middle school, so doing that is not the easiest task, but I love it nonetheless. While I love reading, I also enjoy a good (or bad) movie quite often. I'm a sucker for those really bad SyFy movies, like Sharknado and Ghost Shark and Frankenfish (that's the one that my dad showed me, getting me hooked on the genre). My family is really important to me, even though I moved thousands of miles away from them. I'm extremely close to my immediate family and the extended family on my mom's side (there's only 5 of us grandchildren, and one is my brother). And as our pets have always been part of our families, I love animals of all kinds; this past July I adopted Tawny, an Akita mix, from my local shelter, and she is the BOMB dot COM! Really, I'm an eternal optimist (probably because I'm a Cleveland sports fan...) and I try to find the best in every situation, and the best in every person I meet.
22, Anchorage, AKHi, I'm Samantha! I'm an awful writer, I can't keep a straight face for very long, and I love campfires. I'm always ready to dance with someone. I love to go horseback riding. I like sailing/boating, fishing, most outside activities are fun to me. I'm a bit of a tom-boy like that. You can find me playing a musical instrument, or spending time with my friends and family at gatherings. I also love animals. And I am always up for a laugh! I am literally the worst writer, and I promise I'm really way cooler in person.
24, Anchorage, AKHi, I'm a conservative Catholic male living in the Anchorage area. I enjoy the Eastern Liturgy, and am in the decerment process to see if I have a vocation to the Holy priesthood.
52, Ketchikan, AKI'm a single dad. Live in a small town in a fairly remote but beautiful part of the country. (I wouldn't mind relocating but my current job is pretty place-based.) I love what do--I teach, read, and write history. It is more than just a job. I like spending time with my daughter, cooking, walking trails or the beach with my dogs, and reading (lots of that).
34, Anchorage, AKI am part of Saint Andrews parish in Eagle River. I was born and raised Catholic but wasn't confirmed until 2014. When I'm not cooking professionally in Anchorage in the summer I try to do a different excursion every month and hike every peak I can. But sometimes I just sit because I'm tired :) And winter I spend a lot of time cross country skiing volunteering with horses and entertaining my animals. I travel for reasons of culture and architecture and of course food. I was born and raised in Southern California but have remained in Alaska for the last six years. I'm looking for a spouse not somebody just to date otherwise I wouldn't of joined something like this. Our community is really small. Thought it would be worth a shot.
59, Homer, AKBeing genuine, honest and considerate of others. The site of the snow covered mountains and ocean from my window, fills me with a inner peace and tranquility. I am truly blessed with my family, my beliefs . Happy in my garden and tilling the soil ,nature is spectacular . I love to paint canvases with oil paints and be creative, adore bright colors. The simple joy of finishing a book from cover to cover on occasions. Love the thrill and adventure of travel to off the beaten pathway, to socialize with locals and to absorb the atmosphere, to continue always to learn and be open to learning. The humbling and maturing of living and working in a shanty town aboard and nursing overseas. Relying on my beliefs when all around is in disarray . My leisure time consists of volunteering at local schools ,art ,gardening club, its fun to pool ideas and to work along side like minded folk.
45, Wasilla, AKHello there! Just getting a feel for being single again and am searching different avenues for meeting someone to get out and do things with, spending time to get to know someone. Thanks for taking the time to look. Scott
46, Anchorage, AKI'm brand new here and I'll add to this soon. I am a full time working single Mom and I have my child every other week. I've been at my job for 17 years and I'm blessed to have a good career.
