60, Calgary, CAI am a generally conservative in outlook or character, but that doesnt preclude to try new things and explore thought provoking ideas, etc. I like to read books, go hiking, visit museums, zoos, ride trains, cycling, visit coffee shops, and believe or not, collect stamps. People have told me that I'm nice, quiet, organized, clever, funny and fun to be with.
68, Medicine Hat, CAMy life is wonderful and full, but I would love to find a special person to share it with. I am now teaching adults part-time, after more than 20 years of teaching elementary students. I've lived in Manitoba, BC, Ontario and Oregon, but have called southern Alberta home for many years. In 1995 I converted to Catholicism after much thought and prayer; it felt like coming home. My faith is central to my life. I enjoy close friendships with a number of wonderful people. I am also close to my siblings and their children. We live some distance away from one another, but talk and get together as often as we can. In my free time, I enjoy attending plays/movies/live music events, writing, reading, photography, gardening, yoga and hiking. I like to stay active! I love to travel; Italy is a favorite destination, but I'm open to traveling just about anywhere. I love to experience different cultures.

I am a trusting person, who often sees the humor in a situation. I am truly hoping to find a good companion, with whom I can enjoy all aspects of life
66, Calgary, CAAm passionate about living life in a meaningful way. I enjoy the environment, being active, chatting with my neighbours, and having coffee with friends . I have a particular interest in social issues and have volunteered with the homeless population. I believe any faith should be grounded in caring for the less fortunate. I think it's important to be engaged with the community. I was highly influence by an aunt who was a nun. I worked for 26 years as a social worker. I enjoy walking, caring for a friend's dog, cycling, reading and going to movies..I use to run long distances and am trying to get back into it.
67, Calgary, CAI am most passionate about reflecting my love and concern for others in my daily life. I have had the opportunity to have several experiences and to know more than one influential person throughout my life to date . For me the most faith filled experience in my life was the conception and birth of my two sons. In my leisure time, I enjoy dancing, listening to music- rock n roll, easy listening and classical and singing or playing the piano or organ.
66, Calgary, CAHello ! Although my family always called me David (Stephen), because my Dad's name was David (Charles) as well. This was started by my Mom, who when she would yell for one of us would never get an answer because each of us thought that it must be the other David test was in trouble, lol! I never thought that at my age I would still be seeking that life long friend and soul mate, but here I am, a proud Canadian of Irish / English descent, just trying to make my way in this life, making whatever contribution that God wills me to do. Born, raised and educated in Toronto (yes, the Centre of the Universe, just ask us, lol!), I spent a lot of my post university years trying to get out of the place, lol. Having recognized my true nature as a cowboy at heart you can imagine my delight when I found my way to Calgary! I get very passionate about my "button pushers" which rotate around any kind of abuse of the downtrodden and oppressed, whether they are human or animal. Sometimes the abuse of children, the aged and animals is most important because these are those who cannot necessarily speak / fend for themselves.
63, Calgary, CAHi: I have been a fairly active person all my life. In the summer I swim and cycle and relax in the shade. I joined a ladies fly fishing group 6 years ago and had a wonderful experience last summer in a float boat. I tend to a small yard and enjoy flea markets and outdoor shows. Oh, and I like to Square Dance. You will notice a picture of me in a dance costume. What fun. . Please don't hesitate to drop a line. I love to talk/type.
