    I have a big heart and great morals. I enjoy the simple things in life, such as spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, camping, boating, fishing. I also love sports and working out. If you'd like to meet someone who is very honest and loyal then give me a chance. I look forward to hearing from you.

    I spent all of 2015 living in England. Now it's 2016 and I'm back in sunny Arizona where I've had a home for almost four years now. I'm slightly less pale than I used to be (only slightly), but I've kept my midwestern sensibilities and my Chicagoan appreciation for good food. I love trying new restaurants. I've discovered a number of local favorites in my meandering expeditions for food, but I can also be counted on to be ready for a movie, concert, bar trivia or a night on the karaoke stage. When the weather is nice I like to grab a drink on a nice patio, enjoy the sun and have some intelligent conversation. Speaking of drinks, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about beer and I am gradually expanding my appreciation for scotch as well. Beyond venturing out to procure food and drink and be social, I am quite content to spend some relaxing time at home. I have a condo near Fashion Square and enjoy having visitors. I like to play guitar and sing. Every once in a while a nice elderly person sitting in front of me at Mass will tell me I have a good singing voice so clearly that makes me some kind of rock star. I like just about anything I can sing to, and I will use that line to defend my fondness for Katy Perry's music should you ever call me out on it (yeah, I know, don't judge me). I do my fair share of "guy stuff" like watch sports or play video games, but I'd welcome the chance to go hang out with a special lady if she's not into those things and get a change of scenery. There are all sorts of things that I don't necessarily do alone (e.g. cooking) that I would enjoy doing with the right company. Of course, life can't always be fun and games. When the time comes, I can be hardworking and ambitious too. I earned a PhD in electrical engineering at age 25. It is an achievement I'm quite proud of and I couldn't have done it without genuinely enjoying what I do. (science is awesome!) I figure on a dating profile it's better to share a demonstrable sign of intellect than to give the standard cliche: "I'm smart, funny, etc." In person though, I'm pretty modest and often self-deprecating. In short I like to have fun and don't take myself too seriously.

    I was born and raised in Arizona the middle of three children and the only girl. I am extremely close to my family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents included. My friends have made my already large extended family even bigger. The majority of my free time, and not so free time, is spent with these people (who doesn't love a spontaneous bring your niece to work day). I love the outdoors, exploring new places, and my old haunt the Colorado River. I am an avid Arizona Diamondbacks and Cardinals fan and hate the Dodgers. I enjoy baking, but only for other people. My favorite things include surprises, late night movies, gift-giving, service projects, and great stories.

    I am passionate about God, our Catholic faith, family, friends, and art; These things have influenced my life the most. I am an aspiring artist and so I'm often busy doing other odd jobs to make money to make art... It's the crazy life of an artist. I enjoy spending time outdoors, learning new things, and window shopping. Most weekends are spent hanging out with friends and getting lost on nature trails or some random building project. During the week I am mostly spending my time studying and giving myself equally large study breaks that consist of swing dancing, drinking coffee (or beer) with friends, teaching bible studies, discussing philosophical/theological topics, and wasting precious study time. (I get good grades, it just seems like I do a lot of nothing ) I enjoy adventuring and have lived in Haiti for 5 months for a mission and recently lived in DC, both of those experiences were so great. If you want to know more about me don't be afraid to ask, I'm pretty laid back but straightforward.

    So where should I start? I'm a cradle Catholic - my religion is a big part of my life, although you probably won't notice it until you get to know me better. I've lived in Tucson my whole life, and while I love the city, I wouldn't be opposed to moving someplace else if the opportunity presented itself. I recently graduated from the U of A and currently have a full time job as a design engineer at a transportation engineering firm. It's great experience, and I'm hoping to (eventually) go back to school to get my Masters Degree (although I'd like to work a bit first). I really enjoy U of A sports. I try to make it to all of the home football games and as many of the basketball games as I can manage. On the weekends I enjoy playing basketball or going golfing (although I'm not particularly skilled at either). I'm also up for pretty much anything else - hiking, swimming, skiing, whatever seems interesting. However, my biggest passion is writing. I've been writing for about ten years for fun (I've got two novels and a web comic that I'm working on currently). Unfortunately, I'm finding less and less time to do so as of late. But I still try to make time every day to do so.

I am very passionate towards finding somebody who is strong in their faith like I am. The people who have been influential in my life is my mom. I'm a single mom to two amazing children, ages 2 and 5. Faith and family are the most important things in my life, followed closely by friends. I love making people smile and I love to laugh. I try to find the positive in any situation. I'm looking for someone who feels the same. I love to travel when I can and enjoy being outdoors. (When it's not 115) I enjoy watching football, especially the Chicago Bears. I'm looking for someone who is laid back and has a sense of humor. I try to stay as drama free as possible. Anything else you want to know...just ask. :)

    I'm a fun loving youth minister originally from Long Beach, CA with a heart for the youth of the Church and under privileged youth. I love and miss my crazy Mexican family back home but the Holy Spirit called me to mission with Life Teen 8 years ago so I followed! I'm a bookworm that loves tea, journaling, dancing, hiking from time to time, and pretty much anything nerdy!
  • John, 30 from Phoenix, AZ
    {%action_menu%}
    30, Phoenix, AZ
    My name is John. I'm originally from Chicago, but have lived in Phoenix for eight years. My faith has been integral to my life. When I was a teenager, I experienced a conversion to Christ and His Church. Shortly after, I joined a religious community where I grew in my faith. I ultimately decided that a religious vocation was not for me. I went to ASU's law school and have worked as a lawyer for about two and a half years. I enjoy my work. Temperamentally, I'm reflective and restrained, though I do have a sarcastic streak! I am a compulsive reader, both of literature and history. I'm also something of a movie buff. My favorite activity nowadays is taking my dog for a long walk in the mornings.

    I am a former college athlete. I grew up in a suburb of Phoenix, went to a good school, lived south of St. Louis for two years, and then came back to Arizona. Decided to work for myself, realized that is a lot harder than I thought and started to work in finance part time. I love my life.

    This is a profile that might be a bit short on detail (I'm a laconic person, although that depends upon the subject), but at least it's directly to the point. I'm praying that through this tool-of-the-interwebs, providence will guide me to my future spouse. I am a teacher, lover of wisdom, and search for things true, good, and beautiful. I've studied philosophy extensively and my interests in philosophy include the philosophy of nature and science as well as the foundations of moral philosophy and natural law. I grew up in the state of Kansas, the oldest of a family of 10. I received a Bachelor or Arts in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College in 2008 and then attended The Catholic University of America and received the licentiate in philosophy in 2011 and the doctorate in 2016. I have taught as a graduate instructor in philosophy and currently teach mathematics at a local preparatory school. I have also made permanent promises as a lay Dominican.
