I am an extremely loyal partner and friend to my mate. I am not perfect but i strive to become perfect as JESUS was perfect. I greatly enjoy reading the bible. I value life, marriage, communication, togetherness, being friends as well as lovers, family and full enjoyment of this wonderful world GOD gave us to live in. I cherish my 3 children and 6 grandchildren who are all fabulous people. We all live independantly of each other. I choose to work so as to keep my brain and body young instead of working because of a need for money of which i do not have any such need. I am very passionate about life in all its forms. I enjoy life and have many diversified interests. I m also a very helpful person and notice situations where my help is needed, i am close to family and find family to be most supportive.

After praying a novena to St. Therese of Lisieux, I believe God has a Catholic husband for me, someone that I can share my life with who is hopefully willing to do volunteer work, cook with me, read the Bible, travel and enjoy the outdoors as well as going to the occasional dance, taking photos and going for long walks. I would like a husband who will help me grow in my faith.

Hi, I am an applied anthropologist working with First Nations in BC and the NWT. I love my work, but given my age I have recently downsized my small business in order to make time for myself and a soulmate. My small office resembles a library. I would like to start writing someday. I was raised in Toronto, Ontario, moved to Alberta after I married, and moved to Victoria in 1983 with my three young sons to attend grad school. Victoria was and is a wonderful place to raise children. I enjoy family, friends, travel, cooking, reading, boating and walking along the shoreline or in the woods. I was raised Catholic and although I do not attend church I adhere to the values and principles of my church. They give me comfort. Pope Francis has, I believe, caught the attention of many catholics who are not practicing catholics at the moment. He is moving the church into the present. A difficult task but one that was and is necessary. I am not a fundamentalist, nor a creationist, but then neither was Christ.

I am very passionate about my faith. I'm a minister of the Eucharist, Reader and look after the Catholic Book Store. Daily Chaplet of Mercy, rosary...liturgy of the word.... My faith is part of my daily life. I enjoy cycling, hiking, reading, dancing, skiing, swimming. I prefer playing sports to watching it. I believe that staying active is the best way to stay young. I cycle to church when weather permits, and square dance and will be round dancing next September. I'm also teaching myself to play the accordion. I am hoping to find a trustful, honest, kind "friend" for a serious relationship.

Hi, I'm semi-retired now wishing to meet a man who practices our faith, who is fun to be with, kind, honest, contented with his life for the most part, who lives a fairly healthy life-style and who likes a bit of adventure. I love boating (though I don't have a boat) and having lived on the west coast for most of my life, love it here.

After years of seeking I converted to the catholic faith about 5 years ago. I strive to grow in my spiritual life - continually learning and growing in my faith, seeking God's will and direction, and radiating God's love to those around me. I've been single for several years but desire a partner who is like-minded to share life with. I've enjoyed a rewarding career in nursing and a healthcare management; and now in the process of semi-retiring from Saskatchewan to the West Coast; spending about 2 weeks a month in Victoria. While I love all that Vancouver Island has to offer - I'm open to relocating. I don't have children but have strong family values - and would love to meet someone with children and grandchildren. I have moved a lot in my career and look forward to retirement that includes a balance of home and family life, travel, community and parish involvement. Blessings to all that read this.

I am passionate about my family, my faith and my dog. I love to work in my garden and I walk everyday. I volunteer in schools. I am involved in two choirs, one at church and a women's choir. I love music of all kinds (okay...not country). An ideal Friday night for me is going for dinner and a movie.

When I started working on my social work degree in my forties, it felt like such a good fit and though the work has been challenging I have had a passion for it . I must admit I've become a bit more cynical about systems (apparently social work years are like dog years, 1 = 7). Family is very important to me, we make time for each other, share each others joys and challenges, support one another while respecting independence. Mass has become more important to me over the years. Praying, asking God questions and trying to listen to his plans for me, - all important aspects of my daily life. I think my husband was very influential in my life. He encouraged me to pursue a career when I didn't believe I had the parts to do it. My four children, who stretched me to the limit, showed me how to think beyond myself, taught me patience, endurance and stretched my heart giving me capacity for greater love. Leisure time? I've had some of the best times in my life snorkelling in warm waters, I enjoy traveling, walking my dogs in beautiful surroundings, I love working with my hands in my spare time, sewing, quilting, paper crafts, working on improving my home, gardening, I'm an avid reader. I enjoy activities with friends and family, walks, movies, dining in or trying a different restaurant now and again. I look forward to planning vacations, for myself, family, foster parents, co-workers - that is fun. I'm a bit of an expert on Disney Parks and Cruises and must confess I have a soft spot in my heart for The Mouse.
