I am a Traditional Catholic man who has sold my Catholic Bookstore in Calgary and I am selling my house in Calgary and have moved to Kelowna , BC . I have no wish to suffer another winter in Calgary. I attend Latin Mass when I can because I find it to be more reverent and I also attend the regular Mass at Immaculate Conception Church with my Mother. Fr. Sebastian says the Mass with more reverence than most modern priests. I like camping and fishing, playing golf and I enjoy watching movies, plays, and reading Fantasy / Science Fiction. I also enjoy computer games and Xbox / PlayStation / Wii and I have a passion for board games. I am Honest, Thoughtful, caring and loving. I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephew's. I also like Tiny House's although I live in a 1200 sq. ft home. Most recently i have been on a diet and pleased to say that I have lost over 40 pounds so far and I want to lose another 20.

I have come to this site, as one way to discern God's will concerning being in a relationship. My Catholic Faith is important to me and I try to practice it fully. I work with persons with special needs as a support worker and enjoy the work (vocation) very much. I am sociable, but prefer one on one or small groups. I have a humorous slant and have strong morals and values. I have an older character home that I enjoy very much and have small socials. I love to cook and have a wine making hobby that complements the meals I cook. I like keeping fit so I try to be careful about what I eat, but do allow some freedom for occasional slips. I am somewhat active by nature, walking, exercise bicycle and some weights. I enjoy a variety of ethnic foods and am always ready to try something new. I was married for several years. I got divorced and my marriage annulled seventeen years ago. After my marriage breakup and other events around that time it came to my attention that I had some work to do on myself. I have not done much dating since then because I felt I had to work on these shortcommings. I have since worked hard and have gained some maturity and humility. I also realize that I still have some work to do.

My passion is children. They are unique little souls without guile. Gardening is next. I tend the growing plants and leave the rest to God. Salsa dancing is so much fun -- even the mistakes. I'm not obsessive about these, but take delight in them. Cursillo is an experience that brings me closer in faith to Jesus. It pushes me like a wave throughout my life by enriching my spirituality. The many people I meet through the Cursillo movement make me aware of how God is present in our lives. My leisure time can be active - salsa dancing, tai chi, training the dog & long walks to tire the dog out. Quiet time is reading, gardening. I enjoy an evening with friends to share a good meal, a bit of wine and to catch up with each other. My extended family lives at a distance so we catch up mainly by phone calls and visit when we can. Our birthdays are becoming family reunions as we realize we need to get together from across Canada more regularly.
  • Caezer, 34 from Langley, CA
    34, Langley, CA
I grew up in a modest and quiet neighbourhood in Edmonton, a prairie city. Outdoor ice hockey, white Christmas, a diverse group of friends, hot chocolate, and good times with the family are what characterizes my childhood. My interests vary, as I'm a curious person. My formal education largely specialized in the sciences, in photojournalism, and a wee bit of theology. A left and right-brained person. Three years were spent as a teacher, mostly with secondary physics, chemistry, and elementary-grade students. Still considered young, then, and wanting to 'change the world', I pursued photography and became a reporter and photojournalist for 8 years. After rediscovering Christianity (in a very unexpected way), I decided to put down roots to spend more time with God. Those days of a semi-nomadic lifestyle are over, so I bought a photography studio and print shop business after moving to the Vancouver area in order to be closer with my siblings and parents.

I enjoy going out and experiencing the beauty that surrounds us, usually by going for a long drive in the country. For my leisure time I usually spend it in solitude, sometimes in church with the blessed Sacrament.

  • Joanna, 20 from Vancouver, CA

Hello there! Thanks for stopping to take a look at my profile :) So for introductions.... My name is Joanna and I'm just a happy-go-lucky university girl! Not really sure what you would like to know about me. Maybe I will go in this order: interests/hobbies, family/faith, and then future aspirations. If I had to list three things I love doing, I must say that my interests are traveling, cooking and trying new food (haha I am an enthusiastic foodie), and music. The aspects I love about traveling are exploring diverse cultures, meeting new people, tryin new activities, and LANGUAES! I love languages which is the reason why I am doing a major in French and a minor in Spanish. Did I forget that I am a bit of a dork? Well, I am. Also new culture means new food right? Let's just say that I have been cooking since I was 9 years old. I love trying different recipes and visiting new restaurants and bars with my friends and family. I prefer French, Italian, Japanese, and Korean cuisine the most. Meanwhile, my taste for music is just like my taste for food. I will try anything, though I must confess that I don't particularly like the opera. Otherwise, most people will see me singing, listening, playing, or dancing to all types of music. Yup, Imma massive dork. I love being silly from time to time. Life is good as God made it. I must also say that I am very family-oriented. I love my family and one day, I would also like to have a family with a husband I love :) Anyhow, I am very close to both of my parents and my older brother. Interesting fact: I am the youngest in my family generation so I am also the baby (haha). However, my baby is my lovely Havenese whose name is Tinkerbell! As for my faith, I am closest to Mother Mary. I pray and talk to her the most. I view Mary to be my Holy Mother while God is my father and Jesus is a lot like my older brother. Mother Mary and Jesus are my greatest role models in life. I wish to share these feelings and views with my future boyfriend too! Future aspirations include becoming a high school language teacher, graduating and paying off my student loans, be successful and enjoy my work and further down the path, have a family. These are my reasonable goals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm running out of space soon, but I had fun introducing myself to you! If you think we can be compatible, please send me a message! Thanks

I am a happy, positive person who tries to grow from the hard knocks that we all face in life. I am fiercely loyal, family focused, compassionate, generally even keeled (though with a definite wild streak and stories to tell), my humor runs towards the goofball, I tend to be insightful and open minded, and am not ego driven...I have no problem saying I am wrong or apologizing if need be :) I would love to do more travel, and I love adventures....but more the kind where you hop in the car for an impromptu road trip, fly to Kauai to raft the canals or try paddleboarding than jumping out of planes. My days of snowboarding and rock climbing are behind me, I'm afraid. If you are into that stuff that's great, I'll gladly cheer you on! I'm more about finding those hidden gems than going to the latest greatest spot, though those can be fun too. I love corny things like mini golf and bowling and tipping canoes. Camping is a summertime must, even here where that oftentimes means camping in the rain. I used to love fishing, even though I never caught anything. Now I am a fish owner and I am afraid I *might* catch something, so I've retired the fishing pole for the time being. Gah, I am just now realizing that I still eat sushi. It's a good thing I didn't say I have integrity ;) As a child and family therapist I make a decent living and at the end of a good day I can say that I have helped some people, so that's worth a lot. Plus my kids love to come visit me at work because I have toys :) I am a regular church goer, my kids (son, 8 and daughter, 6) go to Catholic school. My religion is important to me and I would love to find someone who shares this, or is open to it. As a Catholic I am pretty rule bound, unless I am scaling fences or breaking into the Showgirls theatre in Vegas...but y'know I don't let my kids put their fingertips all over glass cases or anything reckless like that ;) I am looking for someone to adore, a partner to stand beside. I feel like my life is already so great, but finding that person to share it with will make it even more amazing. A man who is loyal, has integrity and shows compassion is what I am looking for. Someone who is looking as much for a spiritual connection as a physical one.

Hi, I'm semi-retired now wishing to meet a man who practices our faith, who is fun to be with, kind, honest, contented with his life for the most part, who lives a fairly healthy life-style and who likes a bit of adventure. I love boating (though I don't have a boat) and having lived on the west coast for most of my life, love it here.
  • Susan, 64 from Vancouver, CA

hi there...................I am returning after a two year break primarily as the forums are so great. My adult children and my church are my life. Recently retired, I am very active in my parish and in ongoing faith based training. Bridge games take up much of my time and training my new puppy. I love to travel and see new cultures. In my youth I lived all over Africa and in I'm addicted to murder mysteries on pbs.
