32, Kitimat, CAI am a very simple woman. Loving and caring, jolly, honest and loyal person. Just meet me in person. Honestly i want to settle down as much as possible coz im not getting any younger anymore. I hope i can see my destiny here..
34, Langley, CAI grew up in a modest and quiet neighbourhood in Edmonton, a prairie city. Outdoor ice hockey, white Christmas, a diverse group of friends, hot chocolate, and good times with the family are what characterizes my childhood. My interests vary, as I'm a curious person. My formal education largely specialized in the sciences, in photojournalism, and a wee bit of theology. A left and right-brained person. Three years were spent as a teacher, mostly with secondary physics, chemistry, and elementary-grade students. Still considered young, then, and wanting to 'change the world', I pursued photography and became a reporter and photojournalist for 8 years. After rediscovering Christianity (in a very unexpected way), I decided to put down roots to spend more time with God. Those days of a semi-nomadic lifestyle are over, so I bought a photography studio and print shop business after moving to the Vancouver area in order to be closer with my siblings and parents.
34, Vancouver, CAHello. I'm Anthony. I'm passionate about trying new things and being curious about the world. I'm a Pisces (I don't believe in astrology but I find the personality profile matches me quite accurately) and I'm an INTP in personality on the Myers-Briggs scale if you're familiar with that. I'd say a concept that generally guides my life is "WHY". In elementary, I would stare out the window and daydream, and I've always wanted to know how things fit together. I'm a deep thinker, but in addition to that, being very discerning and objective has made me very eclectic and malleable. I've never been a type of person to box myself in as an academic, or an athlete, as intelligent, or simple. When I see something or someone interesting I decompose it and try to find the causes - what makes that person like that, how did that thing get like that? And then I decide if I can/want to become that or see if I can do that. That open-minded way of looking at the world has led me to study art, philosophy and science, fire-fighting, circus arts, pole dance, motorcycle racing... and the list goes on. I do not like the idea of NOT being able to do something. In a general sense, I guess that would come across as "ambitious" - eliciting images of dictatorial or overbearing and controlling behaviors... that's not me, though. I'm as fluffy and cuddly as a teddy bear, my ambitions are more personal in that NOT being able to do something usually means I haven't tried it or haven't understood it, or I have some sort of internal fear. I think understanding yourself is the first step to understanding others. I try to learn empathy every day. I guess that's part of my catholicism... it helps me understand and empathize with others and love more. My leisure time is a mix. I enjoy video games, I love to run and ride my motorcycle. I travel once or twice a year. I like team sports but also rock-climbing and extreme sports. I love movies - especially science fiction and super-hero. Sometimes I just sit at home and watch TV. I sometimes like to eat out... but I don't usually make it a big event or take pictures of my food. haha ;)
30, Langley, CAAre faith and family important to you? They are very important to me. I feel ready to go forward with the next chapter of my life and hope to find someone who feels the same way. I am one of three brothers and our family is very close. I hope to emulate that in my life going forward. All of our family practices our faith and are very involved in pro life ministries. We are all fond of cats as well! On the lighter side I also enjoy composing music, jamming with friends and making movies with my brothers. I play bass guitar at Mass. I also enjoy curling and walks in nature. Have a blessed day. I hope to hear from you.
20, Vancouver, CAHello there! Thanks for stopping to take a look at my profile :) So for introductions.... My name is Joanna and I'm just a happy-go-lucky university girl! Not really sure what you would like to know about me. Maybe I will go in this order: interests/hobbies, family/faith, and then future aspirations. If I had to list three things I love doing, I must say that my interests are traveling, cooking and trying new food (haha I am an enthusiastic foodie), and music. The aspects I love about traveling are exploring diverse cultures, meeting new people, tryin new activities, and LANGUAES! I love languages which is the reason why I am doing a major in French and a minor in Spanish. Did I forget that I am a bit of a dork? Well, I am. Also new culture means new food right? Let's just say that I have been cooking since I was 9 years old. I love trying different recipes and visiting new restaurants and bars with my friends and family. I prefer French, Italian, Japanese, and Korean cuisine the most. Meanwhile, my taste for music is just like my taste for food. I will try anything, though I must confess that I don't particularly like the opera. Otherwise, most people will see me singing, listening, playing, or dancing to all types of music. Yup, Imma massive dork. I love being silly from time to time. Life is good as God made it. I must also say that I am very family-oriented. I love my family and one day, I would also like to have a family with a husband I love :) Anyhow, I am very close to both of my parents and my older brother. Interesting fact: I am the youngest in my family generation so I am also the baby (haha). However, my baby is my lovely Havenese whose name is Tinkerbell! As for my faith, I am closest to Mother Mary. I pray and talk to her the most. I view Mary to be my Holy Mother while God is my father and Jesus is a lot like my older brother. Mother Mary and Jesus are my greatest role models in life. I wish to share these feelings and views with my future boyfriend too! Future aspirations include becoming a high school language teacher, graduating and paying off my student loans, be successful and enjoy my work and further down the path, have a family. These are my reasonable goals. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm running out of space soon, but I had fun introducing myself to you! If you think we can be compatible, please send me a message! Thanks
27, Surrey, CAHi! A little summary of myself: I enjoy running, paddle boarding, hiking, beaches and lakes, reading, writing, travelling, cooking, friends, family, music, and swing dancing. I teach Grade 4 catechism one evening a week, and I love it. I work full-time at a dealership, and am planning to go into teaching next year.
33, Port Alberni, CAI'm an old soul in a young body, full of curiosity and wonder for things, travels, new experiences and people around me. How much I love life? A whole bunch! It wouldn't be right to go through this life alone and not share those gifts of faith, family, friends, fun with someone like-minded/hearted. How about you?
35, Vancouver, CAOkay... Nobody panic. I've been kidnapped by a group of renegade chimpanzees. One of them has a Mr T haircut. The place where I am is dark and smells like stale popcorn. My iPhone is stuck on this page. My fate is in your hands... please do what you can.
27, Vancouver, CAI am a laid back social introvert, who loves the outdoors (hiking), good live theatre and movies, trying new beers and wines, playing boardgames and I have recently started to get into wood working. I am also a major nerd when it comes to Scifi and fantasy, but this nerdom crosses over into history, philosophy, theology and everything to do with the liturgy and church teaching. I'm not the best at small talk but would rather have deep and meaningful discussions.
22, Vancouver, CAHey there.. My name is Marie, I'm from Mauritius island.. Moved to vanvouver 1 yr ago, just wanted to see how life was elsewhere other than my lil country..
26, Victoria, CAFaith, Family, Fellowship - these are the top three things that I value in my life. I am a fairly joyful person who, although introverted, loves spending time with others in various activities. Faith: my faith has really shaped who I am and I don't know where I would be without it. Over the years I have been challenged in my faith in such a way that has made me sure of the truth of the Catholic Church. I know I am not perfect and that I sometimes struggle in my prayer life, but I know that God will never abandon me. Family: my family has truly been my rock (aside from Christ of course). Whenever I am struggling I know that they will be there to support me. Nothing like a dose of family fun to make me feel better ;) I hope that I may bring the joy and support that my family has brought me into the family that I create some day. Fellowship: this ties in closely with faith and family. My Catholic community has always felt like an extension of my family and having friends who will support me in my faith and keep me accountable, while also providing a solid, honest and open social life is very important to me. I've never been much of a leader (I tend to be a background worker/planner), so having friends who will take charge and decide what to do is great. I work as a pastry chef at a local brewpub. Although I don't have formal training I have worked my way up from dishwasher to pastry chef in a year which I am still amazed at (more details below). Some of my interests include reading, board games, movies and the occasional video game. During the past year I have started bouldering and it has become quite the hobby.
