"The world is alive with the grandeur of God" (-Hopkins). The love and humor of God and the incarnation of Christ are vibrantly evident in everything, including my sons' busy lives, ages 19 & 22, my late wife's very best achievements. Lost her to ovarian cancer. Being Mom and Dad is more challenging than I expected. A convert, I'm a Permanent Deacon - one of the Church's three orders of clergy - with the equivalent of a master's degree in pastoral theology to go with my B.A. and an "almost M.A." (lacking only a thesis) in English/Language Arts/Journalism/Creative Writing/American Literature. (I have permission to be here. See Circular Letter Prot. N. 263/97 from the “Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments” in the Curia of the Vatican.) Am involved in exciting Church ministries. A reformed mountain climber, I hold FAA licenses for sailplanes and single-engine airplanes. Ever witness a cloud being born around you or climbed skyward like a homesick angel? Those hobbies disappeared along with season tickets to the symphony and theater as my sons became more expensive, but they are well worth it. For my secular career, I’m self-employed as a marketing and public relations consultant for emerging hi-tech enterprises in Silicon Valley. Wanted to write the "great American novel," but am now relegated to the great American press release. Humor, optimism, meditation, spirituality, independence, a simpatico companion, expansive mountainous vistas, ocean sunsets and good California wine are important. Healthy physically and emotionally, trustworthy, honest, sincere, mischievous, sometimes annoying but definitely not into games, nor do I believe in controlling people. Can't dance (2 left feet), can't sing (can't carry a tune in a bucket), but I have all my hair (in a box under the bed). I wish you peace, fulfillment and the discovery of all you're searching for.

I have been on Match but have not meet anyone of character or intregrity, so here goes guys! I am a very easy going and laugh at myself kind of lady. I am curious and adventuresome, picture with 2 of my sons was taken after we x country skied over the top of Vail Pass (11 miles). I do love to dance and a night on the town too. Love travel and exploring a new area getting to know a country's culture and architecturre. My three sons (ages 23, 29 and 30) and they are my accomplishement I am most proud of. I appreciate and put more into life now than ever, each day is a gift. I do not sweat the small stuff. I am an interior designer, with a focus on sustainable design and green building. Previously I taught deliquent teenage girls and worked with handicapped children. I find humor in life's day to day challenges. I try to stay in shape but NOT am not a gym nut. I live by the golden rule and seek someone who would treat a stranger as kindly as he would me. Can be spontaneous on a day to day basis. One friend said she would use the word JOY to dessribe me. Don't think I am the sweet and syrupy type though, raising 3 boys developes a sharp sense of humor and many oprptunities for laughter.

I have found that happiness is within ourselves. From there, our happiness will carry over to all facets of our lives, including personal relationships and business relationships. We should value the gift of life and joy in our daily lives. As such, we should not be overly concerned about relative life, such as ideology, material expectations, and other peoples idea of success. Success is happiness within. We should realize that the Creator provides for everything even though it may be hidden from human eyes.

Huge lover of life, in any shape or form from amoeba to Elephant, and celebrating and expressing that love from a sharing of faith and generating conversation wherever and whenever I can with anybody who's willing to engage with me. Favorite setting is a dinner party, or cocktail party, with intimate sharing fine food or beverage over scintillating convo on politics, love, life, philosophy...whatever the topic of the day/hour is. The most influential experience was driving a taxi, in my hometown, when the economy was exceedingly poor, which afforded m the opportunity to converse with people of all walks of life and culture, which really solidified my belief that the majority of people are spiritual, and simply want the best for their family, and ultimately mankind. I spend a lot of leisure time doing physical things such as jogging hiking, cycling, sports activities, and when time permits I have a few venues that I can give something back from charitable outlets to simply sharing life's many experiences.

My life seem to keep expanding as I seek new adventures in all areas of my life. I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and keep fit with several outside activities. My peaceful places seem to be the ocean, mountains, with a new desire to visit our National Parks. When I attend the Performing Arts and visit Museums I feel a renewed spirit. I still have a yearning for more international travel and I am hopeful that would include a special someone. I was raised in Michigan on a one of the many beautiful little lakes that emptied into Lake Michigan. As number six of twelve children we had the gift of together, boating, swimming, skating and fishing. I still treasure being outside hiking or walking finding new place I haven't yet experienced. My two daughters and Grandchildren reside in Southern California and allow me the wonderful difference of enjoy Northern and Southern California. My faith is a very important part of my life. My morning meditation with a few weekday Masses help keep me in fellowship with my parish circle which strengthens my faith walk. I also sing in our choir and we present special Cantatas at Christmas and Easter which are very rewarding. A 36 year career with UAL as a flight attendant shape my love an curiosity of new cultures and vast rich understanding how we sometimes look and sound different yet all very much the same. Hopes and dreams with laughter and song are a part of who I am. If you are similar it would be nice to hear from you.

Being an Army brat, I was born in Shanghai, that's where my folks were at that time. I've traveled a bit, doing underwater photography. Am also an only child. My current passion is dogs...specifically my little 7# adopted Chi mix, Ginger, whom I've gotten certified as a Service Dog, (for my late husband), as well as a Therapy Dog. We visit a nursing hospital weekly.

I am passionate about art; I am a tour guide with di Rosa museum. I see a movie every week with a friend or by myself. I exercise about 5 times a week and I am in very good physical health. I look forward to meeting a kind and friendly man who enjoys good food, wine and seeing a movie every week. Aside from my father and mother, my former (Deceased) husband showed me what love, trust and friendship could be vital to a loving and committed relationship. I like to read, and I am constantly planning for my next vacation because I have enjoyed foreign and domestic trips. What I look forward to most is getting up in the morning and knowing that this day is a gift from God and I will love every moment whether it is good or trying moments. I love living every moment that is given to me.

In the end what facinates me more than anything is philosophy. I have put a lot of time and money into my training as a philosopher so that I could teach in a Catholic university with the freedom that the Church gives us I have a little Down syndrome son who of all the people in the world is my greatest joy. His name is Christian and he is well known at the seminary. He likes playing the guitar with his brothers reading good books and eating cheeseburgers. He keeps my feet on the ground and models an unconditional love for everybody he meets. A model which I should follow. We spend a lot of time together. But there remains ample room for one more: a catholic woman who would be loved deeply by both of us. and who I plan to cherish. My Catholic faith is vey important to me. It guides every intention of my heart as well as the ideas of my mind. "The heart has reasons that the reason knows not of." (Pascal) I will stay in the Bay Area where my family has lived for six generations and where I have been a professor for 20 years. I will continue to teach and write at the seminary. And I would like to meet someone who could journey with me in this kind of life. And not just journey together on a dusty path of routine and boredom, but to love each other wildly and to express that love demonstrably, and to "be there" for each other when we face challenges. In other words, I need a God-sent, genuine woman.

I was born and raised in Boston. I moved to California with my parents 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I love it here. I am a teacher . I especially love helping children thrive in life . I'm excited and happy to be studying piano. I finally have the time to enjoy learning new skills. It keeps me relaxed and challenged mentally. I am blessed with three children and one grand child. They keep me busy and I am always thankful for their love. I just moved from San Luis Obispo to the Bay Area so getting around is a challenge everyday. I am in need of a good man to spend the rest of my life with. I will give the man I love complete honesty and be loyal to him always. Being in love is beautiful and necessary for one's happiness. I BELIEVE in love ...

I look forward to the most being in the loving company of family and good friends. Despite, the vicissitudes of life that we all face, I am passionate about trying to be mindful everyday of those things for which I ought to be grateful ( a challenge somedays). Being a mother is one of the greatest joys of my life and has been a significant influential experience as to who I am today. Being born into a large, Catholic family was no doubt a big influential experience for me. My experience in the health care industry has been a constant reminder of the great blessing of good health & not to take it for granted. I love music, all kinds... jazz, classic rock, latin, classical enjoy live music performances... including symphony performances, the to dance...value fitness & staying active with Pilates, swimming, zumba, horse back riding when I being out/near the ocean, mountains just about anywhere where there is natural not watch much TV.. rather read or go out to dinner with friends... am a life-long learner. In everything, God is my reference point. Although I am steadfast in the practice of my Catholic faith, I'm aware that I too am "a work in progress." I'm beautiful inside, who seeks the beauty in who you are; I'm beautiful out, who respects who you are beyond your faults and shortcomings. Falling in love is a beautiful gift; Staying in love is grace! This keeps me young(er) :--)) After many years of successful corporate careers, I answered to a call to fulltime volunteer work with very simple lifestyle and this opened the doors to non-profit career and passion for Retreat Work. I present faith-based Retreats, taken Graduate Studies on Theology and completed certification program for Spiritual Direction. Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina are as much a part of my lifestyle as dancing, golfing, traveling. If you are in love with God more than anyone or anything, let's talk, be ourselves, listen to each other, look at each other eye to eye and discern if it is worthwhile to see each other again . . . . over a cup of coffee?.., an early dinner?.., a 2-mile leisurely walk?.., after a Ballroom Dancing class?.., after a round of golf?.., after hearing Mass together?.., after a show or concert? .... with respect and trustworthiness.
