81, Belmont, CA"The world is alive with the grandeur of God" (-Hopkins). The love and humor of God and the incarnation of Christ are vibrantly evident in everything, including my sons' busy lives, ages 19 & 22, my late wife's very best achievements. Lost her to ovarian cancer. Being Mom and Dad is more challenging than I expected. A convert, I'm a Permanent Deacon - one of the Church's three orders of clergy - with the equivalent of a master's degree in pastoral theology to go with my B.A. and an "almost M.A." (lacking only a thesis) in English/Language Arts/Journalism/Creative Writing/American Literature. (I have permission to be here. See Circular Letter Prot. N. 263/97 from the “Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments†in the Curia of the Vatican.) Am involved in exciting Church ministries. A reformed mountain climber, I hold FAA licenses for sailplanes and single-engine airplanes. Ever witness a cloud being born around you or climbed skyward like a homesick angel? Those hobbies disappeared along with season tickets to the symphony and theater as my sons became more expensive, but they are well worth it. For my secular career, I’m self-employed as a marketing and public relations consultant for emerging hi-tech enterprises in Silicon Valley. Wanted to write the "great American novel," but am now relegated to the great American press release. Humor, optimism, meditation, spirituality, independence, a simpatico companion, expansive mountainous vistas, ocean sunsets and good California wine are important. Healthy physically and emotionally, trustworthy, honest, sincere, mischievous, sometimes annoying but definitely not into games, nor do I believe in controlling people. Can't dance (2 left feet), can't sing (can't carry a tune in a bucket), but I have all my hair (in a box under the bed). I wish you peace, fulfillment and the discovery of all you're searching for.

A friend introduced me to this site and its nice to know that there are still women out there who have morals and such. I am grateful to the many people that helped me along the way to get to where I am, and this is my way to try to give back. I fully intend to keep this involvement. I was born and raised Catholic. My Catholic faith is very important to me. It shapes who I am, and the decisions I make. I try to go to daily mass as often as I can. I work on strengthen my relationship with the Lord. I work as a buyer for a sports ecommerce company, and I look forward to going into the office each day to tackle a new challenge. Its a great combination of sports and business.

That's why I'm here, I want to make new friends, and hoping to meet someone special. I am a single Mom and I have a 2 and half years old daughter. Her father isn't around and sometimes he sees her once a month. So my life is focused in raising her right and working hard so I can give the best for her.

29, Belmont, CAOne of my major drives in life is to pursue excellence. I try to get the most out of life that I can and prefer spending time and money on experiences and growth rather than possessions. When I go out, I try to eat and drink something delicious and enjoy a good conversation. I also try to take care of my health by exercising regularly. I use and appreciate when others use proper grammar and spelling. I'm a pretty good listener, and I don't think sarcasm is a sign of wit or intelligence. (I also probably won't respond to you if you just send me an emotigram.) I'm usually serious and reserved, though I love intellectual challenges and can get pretty competitive when playing games. Card and board games are great. I'm also athletic and enjoy playing sports. I love to read and watch movies that are thought-provoking and inspire philosophical or hypothetical conversations about life. I'm also financially responsible. I practice budgeting, save for retirement, and dabble in investments.

33, Belmont, CAI'm pretty easygoing. I love being active and enjoy rock climbing (gym mostly), hiking, backpacking and anything else physically challenging. I also love having lazy days watching movies and eating ice cream. I can be shy when I first meet someone but I'm pretty cool when you get to know me. I live on the peninsula and work in San Francisco. I volunteer in Sunnyvale teaching catechism to 8th graders and in San Jose leading Bible studies in jail. I'm really close to my family and try to spend time with my neice and nephew as much as I can.
49, Belmont, CAHello there, I wonder if there is anyone out there who really enjoys writing about themselves. I certainly don't... well.....here is a little bit about me. It might sound cliche, :-) but I am a friendly and curious person who enjoys the simple things in life. I like exploring new places, good movies, cooking (when I have time and space), bookstores, outdoors, good conversations... I try to stay active; play tennis, do some hiking and even go to gym :-). I was born and raised in Europe and moved to the US a while (long time) ago. :-) So if I have sparked your curiosity and you wish to know more, drop me a line or two and we'll see where it takes us...
