I am retired from teaching elementary school for over 30 years and while it was fulfilling, decided to explore other possibilities that life holds. I have enjoyed camping in the Sierras, local trips, and just recently took a long cherished trip to Japan to visit friends and explore. I am currently doing genealogy research on my family, taking classes at the local community college and most important working out, running and hiking. I recently started volunteering at a local Nature Center which has provided endless opportunities for connecting my interests in the outdoors to a means of being involved in the community. My faith is very important to me and hopefully will develop ways in the coming year how I can better serve the parish community. I am fulfilled in the long and continuous friendships cultivated over many years and believe that friendship is a part of giving of self which in turn creates happiness and joy.

I am a man of faith who also likes to have fun. I am a divorced professional man who became a Catholic in 2012 thru RCIA. Catholic School grades 1-12 and altho raised an Episcopalian I consider myself a Catholic since first grade. After divorce thinking I would not be accepted by the church, I stopped going to church for five years. I returned, ironically, because I dated an Evangelical woman who took me to her church and it re-lit my desire to return to worship. When I began attending mass at my local parish, she told me that she regards Catholicism as a "cult". Taking great offense I stopped seeing her and started attending mass daily, going to Eucharistic Adoration and seeking a ministry to join.. I have become a Stephen Minister re-affiliated with Knights of Columbus and met genuinely great welcoming people in my parish. I have had trials in my business and lost my private medical practice to the 2008 recession. Although busy, I was not getting reimbursed and had to close it after 28 years. God saw me through the trial of unemployment and loss of my home. I found a job but had to move to Fresno for it. After being there for five years I needed treatment for Prostate Cancer in 2013. The treatment was successful but 6 months later I was hospitalized for 3 months with Sepsis, multiple organ failure and loss of 50 pounds muscle mass and had to learn to walk again. I am now healthy, learning Spanish, and am job hunting. I am truly blessed. I have looked into dating sites but I feel that God wants me to find a Catholic woman if I ever re-marry. After having God save me and watch over me during life's trials, my faith has gotten me through financial, emotional, and health problems. There are a few things that I would require of.any woman with whom I would consider a relationship....a great sense of humor for example. Why would not having faith be equally if not more important? I think that we were put on this earth to live our lives for the glory of God and to help our fellow human beings whether by a smile, laughter, a listening ear, our time, a shoulder to cry on, good example, or prayer. Along the way, we can have fun and enjoy life. If I never date or marry again, I feel that my life is full and rich. I do want to do it right and abide by church rules and I pray that God has lead me here to find someone for the type of love that He want us to experience.

Sorry, no pictures - no reply! Most people I know will agree that I look younger than my pics. which are recent. I decided many years ago that I was going to do as many things as I could, for as long as I could. This is who I am. I have a versatile lifestyle and enjoy doing many things. Humor is a big part of my life. Maybe I never really grew up because I still like to listen to older, and new top ten music. My car radio is always on. I always try to watch tv for a couple hours every night, and of course I have my favorite sports teams. What she wants is always a consideration. Taking care of my two dozen fruit trees, berries, and grapes are an enjoyable pastime for me. It also helps keep me in shape. I also golf, bike ride, and fish when I can. Metal detecting has taken the place of softball. Last year was my last playing softball. The movies, dinners and walks are always enjoyable with good company. I have traveled to most of the continents over the years. But I still have a couple left. For many years I have been the chief cook in the house. I'm not real fancy, but more than adequate. How many guys do you know that can make their own grape-berry jelly, or chocolate coat their own home grown macadamia nuts? I have several coffee trees, with berries. I have two accomplished degreed daughters, one of them in law school, the other was married last August. It's important to me that people take good care of themselves and not let themselves go physically or mentally. At least average looks and intelligence are always nice, but the heart comes first. Every one is different, no one is perfect. We all do the best we can. If a person can meet at least one other mate in a lifetime that will make them happy, then that person is truly blessed.

Hi I'm Alex! I am a junior at CSULB studying to become an elementary school teacher. I absolutely love teaching and interacting with kids. I am extremely close with my family and I am a very passionate person. Laughing and goofing around pretty much sums me up in a nutshell. I have a strong faith in God and in my family and friends. When I'm not studying for school you can find me curled up on the couch watching my favorite movies. I am extremely easy going but I am also very driven. I love trying new things but am also attached to my family traditions. In short, I love life! Here's the important part about me...I'm a traditionalist. I think that a guy should be confident enough to reach out and express an interest in me. So, if you'd like to get to know me better, write me something, don't just send me a smiley face. I think that sometimes in today's world, we rely too much on technology (I know that sounds funny since this is an online dating site). An emotigram isn't communication in my opinion. I'd love to get to know you so reach out to me with your words. Be willing to make the first move - I promise, if you write to me, I'll write you back - but take the first step. I'm worth it!

My dream for years has been to compose piano music and to get it published. I like to read, play the piano, watch a good movie, take hikes. I also love listening to different kinds of music. As of late I have been into movie soundtracks, especially Hans Zimmer. I also have come across Above and Beyond. I know that I am old for that kind of music, but I have always had a love for electronic music, especially keyboards. Also, I have done a lot of reading of the Catholic saints and theologians, especially St. John of the Cross, St. Augustine and others.

Single Asian woman in San Francisco interested in friendship and faith-sharing. I am a cradle Catholic and I grew up in the faith attending parochial school up to college. As an adult, I am actively participating in all manners of parish activities beyond the mass: lectures, retreats, faith sharing, dinners, movies, tea parties, book sales, etc. I utilize the church for lifelong learning in matters of faith, spirituality, and discernment. I use this knowledge to keep myself centered, grounded and focused in my cosmopolitan environment of self-interest, fulfillment, and hedonism.
