32, Clayton, CAI'm an easy going lite hearted type of guy. Love to spend time with my family friends and diesel my great dane. When I'm not working I like to workout, sports or anything outdoors. I consider myself to be very honest, trustworthy able to communicate about anything. I would like to spend some more time volunteering and growing my faith.
57, Clayton, CAAfter reading some profiles that I'd read before I realized that I hadn't updated mine. I have subscribed to CM, on and off, so if someone sent me a message I apologize for not responding (as I was unable to.) I was happily married then widowed Jan 06. It is clear that life goes on and I trust that God has a plan for me, so I was enthusiastic for the future. Yet, as time marches I wonder if finding someone is in His plan so I struggle with that possibility. I love chocolate, Chardonnay, and working out (although not necessarily in that order.) I know that my energy and optimism are gifts from God and value them. I am involved in ministry in my church community and consider them family. How can anyone get through life without them? I am close to own family as well. I have become a grandmother of 2 in the last 3 years. What a joy and a reminder that the chain of love continues. My daughter and family are in So Cal and I'm near San Fran so I often make the trek to see them. Being an informed, active Catholic is what I strive for. Deepening my interior faith is also a daily challenge. I love reading apologetics, EWTN and am currently enrolled in a Catechetical Training program. I long to defend the faith in an intelligent and compassionate way. I value health and fitness so you'll find me in the gym 5 days a week. And heck! we're not getting any younger!
27, Clayton, CAUm where to begin...Hello my name is Daniel, I grew up in a small town in the East Bay of California, graduated in the top 50 of my class in high school, and went on to get my degree in philosophy as throughout high school I was constantly bothered by the general response of "If God exists prove it!" whenever I mention that I was a Catholic. Funny story that, my junior year of college I did a dissertation on the existence of God for my Final Paper in my metaphysics class, which I received a perfect score on, and the funny thing is that the teacher was atheist. But I digress, as I'm probably suppose to be talking more about myself to give some general idea of who I am. I suppose the most influential people in my life have been my parents and grandparents as they pushed me to be all that I can be, and by that I mean forced me to attend mass and classes in my youth and would push me to succeed to the best of my abilities. My grandmother taught me all I know about the faith at a young age, and still hounds me needlessly to attend mass every Sunday and quizzes me afterwards to see if I was actually there and paying attention. As for what I'm passionate about...well I'd have to say philosophy, the word literally meaning lovers of wisdom. At the moment I'm currently studying to become a substitute teacher, as I feel because I was lucky enough to have teachers to inspire me, I ought to pay it forward so to speak. Truth being that honestly all I've ever really wanted to do with my life is teach. Concerning matters of my leisure time: I won't deny that I'm rather fond of Videogames, Star Wars, Star Trek, Anime, Philosophy, Theology, History, and traditional combat. I suppose that makes me rather nerdy or geeky, but whatever, I'm comfortable with who I am and if I happen to be a bit of a dork, then I'm a bit of a dork and that's all there is too it. I'm a bit of a book worm, by that I mean that I'm always looking for a good story to read, particularly if it has a bit of well written romance in it. My friends have called me a hopeless romantic, honestly I'm not sure if I really am or not, but I suppose this my be in part to being raised to be a gentleman by my family and to believe that chivalry is not dead. I suppose that if one were to ask my friends they describe me as: laid back, loyal, intelligent, compassionate, empathetic, humorous, and kind. Truth is for some reason, whenever someone has a problem I always seem to be that person they go to.
