Well, what about me? I am the second youngest of ten children. I am originally from Detroit, Mich. I spent eight years in the Navy (85-93) and stayed here in the San Diego area when I got out of the Navy in 93. I am a revert to the faith, I came back into the Church in 92. An honest look at what the Church taught and why in addition to decisive life experiences convinced me of the truth of the Catholic faith. These reflections and rather extensive research on my part were the beginning of a spiritual and intellectual odyssey that continues until this day. I have become somewhat of an armchair theologian. (We Irish Catholics do tend to be know it alls. :)) I write, and give talks when I can, about specific matters of Catholic faith and its socio-economic and political implications on my blog. On the lighter side, I actually do have leisure interests such as sports, both as a spectatar and player, I enjoy music (I sing and play guitar). I am also open to different things as well.

I'm a celibate single man in L.A. -- which may mean I'm fairly unique, since I'm also older than 12. Unfortunately, this includes MANY Catholics in the archdiocese. Cradle Catholic. Spent a year as a postulant at St. Michael's Abbey of the Norbertine Fathers, expecting to continue for ordination (after some serious discernment, I left in good standing). Was a leader in Young Adult Ministry for over 15 years. I belong to Holy Trinity, a great parish in Los Angeles (Atwater Village), where the pastor, Fr. Harrigan, and the associates are genuinely concerned with getting us all to Heaven! I am currently in the 10:30 choir, am a lector, and was involved in Altar Server formation. I'm serious about my Catholicism, and do a lot of amateur apologetics with backup from the Hahns, Tim Staples, Catholic Answers, and the like. I'm the only one in my family who's never been away from the Church. I'm not seriously involved in any devotions, but that's another thing I'm hoping to get involved in at my parish. I'm a member of the Third Order Norbertines, and am hoping to be more involved with this soon. I like sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, and combinations thereof. Somewhat addicted to Star Trek in all its forms. I have probably watched GalaxyQuest and The Princess Bride each more times than is healthy, but they just crack me up and make me feel good (and I've memorized so much of them). I like reading Tolkien, CS Lewis, and a slew of the "New Catholic Apologists." I loved the LOTR movies! Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ was just absolutely amazing! I have satellite and bigscreen TV, so I don't deny some materialism at work, but I love watching EWTN -- that's justification, right? I like TLC, Discovery, History. I have had Sirius in my car (more materialism) but probably spend 97% of the time listening to EWTN -- more justification! Pretty much the only time I don't have EWTN on is when Mass is being broadcast; it bothers me to have it on when I can't participate. My favorite music genre for just listening is '80s, though I like most un-rapped music. I like dancing to just about anything, including swing, ballroom, line, and "normal" dancing, but never "Liturgical"!I'm a PC programmer, but don't have a problem with Macs. I drive a '90 Miata and am a member of the Southern California Miata Club. I just love driving the little thing. I have a big sense of humor that many people like, but some don't get. I like intellectual humor and puns.

First off my name is Danielle. I am about to start a new job as a new grad RN in the operating room and can't wait to see where this adventure takes me. I love being outdoors, hiking, fishing, playing sports or just sitting outside enjoying the scenery. I love trying new things and being active. I am shy at first but I warm up once you get to know me. I am not a fake person and strive to be the best that I can. I am told I am a very fun, funny, sweet, and honest person to be around. I am who I am and am not afraid to be so. I love my religion along with my family, they are the most important thing to me. I am still learning and growing in my faith every day.

    60, Lakewood, CA
I am 5' 11" at 171 lbs. I have brown eyes, dark brown hair, and my physique is regular to slim.. I am at an ideal weight basically. People have exclaimed to me that they thought I was much younger than my actual age.Whew! I thank God for these genes! I am low key, at first shy, but can warm up quickly with the right person. People have described me as sincere, considerate, respectful, friendly, loyal, a man of his word. In private, I would add that I have a big heart. I am compassionate. I sacrifice myself for the sake of others. I also happen to be very passionate in whatever I apply myself to. I fiercely believe in love that is patient and kind and always forgiving... For love is not a feeling. Love is a choice! I like to laugh at funny scenarios and absurdities in life but never at the expense of hurting the feelings of others. I believe in chivalry and romance. I believe in opening doors, etc. I hope to find someone who I mutually trust and admire. Honesty of oneself is critical to understanding and loving one another. When one is honest with oneself, then one can be honest with the other. Honesty begins with self. This is Really BIG for me! I pray to do the right thing in the present(God's Will). I am not judgemental about others' past, for we are always God's people in progress. By working on ourselves who has time to be judging others? In a word, I guess what I am saying is... that I am looking for someone who is sincerely working on themselves daily. Faith and commitment to follow Christ through the Catholic Church's teachings and practices is a requirement for me. I will explain more in private how I make this happen. If you already know it's grand importance and have this in place in your life, then I would love to hear from you!!! Now for interests, activities and hobbies...I am very flexible in doing whatever my special someone would like to do or does already. I like to do all activities where our senses meet the wonders and the natural beauty of the world around us. So, use your imagination! Insofar as type of food... I love Thai and Chinese. I am open to all other types of food as long as it's not squiggly or looks at me while I am eating it!!! (LOL) In summary, I am looking for a long term friendship with someone who has been looking for a guy whose heart and soul is in the right place, where God is placed first in the relationship, where our love and faith is spiritually nurtured.

    54, Antelope, CA
Hello, my name is Steve and as a devote Catholic I never dreamed I'd be in the position I am to start exploring opportunies to find new friendship and campanionship.. I have been married for 20 years at which after that time in June of 2011 my wife decided she didn't want to be married and felt that she wanted more out of life. I still cannot understand it and know in my heart there were no problems or issues, yet she wanted to experience the single life...I have to let her go and know God has a plan for me. I am on this website since I truly want someone who has the same values and beliefs as myself. I am 52 with 2 beautiful daughters ages 12 and 18 and have them with me at my residence here in Antelope, CA... I am a very good father and still after all this has happened has a great sense of humor and long to share present and future experiences with a woman who trusts and cares for our situations!! I joke and tease in a way that I can't explain. It carries me to laugh and smile which pours out to others as well. My heart is filled with love and compassion and in everyway I give more than I can receive! Honestly I might be misunderstood for my intentions since I truly am a caring and sensitive man! I long to "LOVE" a woman in every aspect of the word and accept her, as well myself, in a unconditional and passionate relationship with Our Lord! I pray for guidence, protection, and above all love with that beautiful woman I can call my "SOULMATE!" :) I truly have so much to give as I love our lives in the footsteps of Jesus Our Lord!

I am a lawyer who works in Portuguese, French, Italian, and Spanish. Sometimes I can be very politically-minded about things, but am not (yet) involved directly in politics. My Catholic faith has brought me to a deeper understanding of myself and the world, for which I am forever grateful. I also have to thank Mary our Mother for my initial conversion, the charismatic renewal for a deeper conversion, and my few years in religious life for the rest. Now I see my calling as being "in the world, but not of it." Hopefully, I can find someone to share that with.

"People call me Anna, but you can call me Tonight." haha! I am ridiculously blessed, I live for my family's, friends', and strangers' company. I consider myself simple, honest, and have a sense of adventure. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy being active. I see humor in each moment and I love to tickle my nieces and nephews, to climb mountains, learn what plants are edible, listen to stories and folklore, find beauty in words and gestures, and listen to the thunder clap, ocean roar, & wind dance through the trees.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! About Me: I am very blessed to work at a wonderful high-school and teach Religious Studies and Speech and Debate. I just recently graduated with my Masters in Biblical Theology and published my first Ibook for Speech Communications! I am both an introvert and extrovert. I love to sit at home with a good book and hang out with friends. I have had the opportunity to visit many countries and my favorite place to date would have to be China! I am always ready for an adventure and have an annual pass to Disneyland which I try to use once a month. I am inspired by Pope John XXIII, and C.S. Lewis. My favorite food is fresh raspberries and in my spare time I am involved in a young adult dance company.

I am a cradle Catholic, but I had a real conversion to the faith when I was 33 and someone asked me a question about church teachings that I could not answer. I proceeded to educate myself about the Catholic Faith and fell in love with our Church. I taught RCIA and Confirmation for quite a few years and have found that I have a gift for explaining our faith to others. God's impact on my life is truly a blessing and while my life has not been an easy one, I have stayed faithful to my Church and hopeful in my future. About me I would say that I am a devoted person. I am devoted to God, Family and Country, in that order. I like to read - pretty much anything. I stay up on world events and politics. I enjoy the ocean, riding bikes, roller skating, swimming, walking and talking (at the same time). I exercise regularly and eat well - I'm not a vegetarian or glucose intolerant - I bake my own bread and the worlds best pizza according to my daughter in law. I love thanksgiving and Christmas and my Christmas Trees are so beautiful they take a week to decorate and I leave them up until Epiphany because they make me happy to look at. (Yes, my kids laugh at me, but I can't help it). I want to travel to every state in this wonderful country and I would love to do it as a family. I get along with my ex-husband and we are friends. Since he is the father to my children, he remains a part of my family. My kids are awesome and I have five of them and three grandchildren. I believe happiness comes from being who God wants me to be. My morals guide all of the choices that I make in life and that usually means doing the hard things.

I went to Catholic elementary and high school, so I had to teach myself everything about being Catholic once the Internet was finally invented. Because I went to Catholic school, "school" was a mystery to me, so I had to teach myself everything I know once the Internet was finally invented. Just kidding (mostly). However, I don't know about your experience if you went to Catholic school, but let's just say no one became a priest from "Our Lady of the Democrats" school. We also probably had to send numerous reunion notices to the Department of Corrections... After high school, I graduated from Cal State Remedial Bay (formerly Cal State Hayward). I picked Criminal Justice and have worked in Bay Area Law Enforcement for the past 16 years. Before that, I worked for 10 years at the Recreation Department, in America's (former) paradise of San Leandro, as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. Between going to Chabot College, and Cal State Hayward, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and served for 8 years. Totally new at this thing, so had no idea what to put. Here's what I would guarantee about myself: I think I'm easy to get along with, easy going, responsible, normal guy. Thanks for reading.
