73, Roseville, CAI recently retired from the corporate grinder in Dallas TX, and moved to Northern California. I enjoy the slower pace, the scenic vistas, new experiences and friendships. Im easy-going, spontaneous, honest, trustworthy, caring. I laugh easily, and often. I try to adopt a contemplative posture each day . . . a letting-go of attachments that don't enlarge my participation in moments of grace and life's mysteries. Classical music is a favorite, along with Bocelli, Brightman, et al. And of course, the oldies are a mainstay - '60's and '70's folk music and classic R&R. Several of my favorite writers are contemplative Catholics - R Rohr, T Merton, T Keating, J Finley, D Bisson, C Paintner, and H Nouwen (among others). I joined this site in hopes of finding a friend, and possibly a partner, who may also read some of these Catholic writers, and who may also be on a mindful, more contemplative, spiritual path.

62, Roseville, CAI am leaving the site on October 10th. I wish you all God's blessings and pray you find the special person as you move to the next chapter of your life. I thought I had and now I am working through the opportunity to grow from that disappointment. Peace be with you. I am a young 62 and do not look or act my age! My friends tell me I am quick witted with a good sense of humor. I can be serious when the situation calls for it. I like making music, and am in a music group at church and play each Sunday evening and also in a "real" band. I have being playing in church music groups since the mid-70s. I am comfortable in a suit or jeans. I enjoy going to concerts, live theatre (I have been in numerous play/musicals), movies and sporting events. I also enjoy watching a movie at home (although more fun with someone else) as well as having quiet conversations over dinner or going out with friends. I am honest and truthful, a good listener and enjoy a lively discussion. I do my hunting and fishing at Safeway and Costco! I believe it is never too late to live happily ever after. I wish you success in your quest during this phase of your life!
70, Davis, CAI am retired, but very active in the game of life. I seek a special person of the faith who will be my partner within the church. I value those who are trustworthy, passionate, and romantic. My special person will be there for me as I will be for her. There is so much to life's journey and I would be honored to enjoy it with that special person. At this stage in my life I am seeking a "do over" which includes being a better person to friends and family and while seeking the blessings of the Catholic faith. .I have a good friend who encouraged me to attend a Mass as a visitor. I was in delighted to be a part of the congregation on that day. Since then, I have attended Mass weekly. After some soul searching and study I came to the conclusion that I belonged in the church and sought out the process to convert to Catholicism. I was enrolled in the RCIA and began the process for conversion. The lessons provided by the Priest made me think about who I was and how I fit into God's plan. It was humbling to say the least. I look forward to the day that I am accepted into the Church. All this came about by a simple offer by my friend to join in the celebration. When I later thanked her for allowing me the opportunity to come into her church, she remarked that it was my parish too. Awesome! I am passionate about my playing of the Scottish Bagpipes. I currently, compete with the band in contests throughout the State. I also have renewed my interest in solo competition. I travel extensively with the pipe band, but I would like to renew my desire to travel worldwide for pleasure. This includes Europe and the Pacific regions. Having said that, I think there is much to see and do in America. Have you seen the Northern Lights in Alaska? In this quest, I would like to visit national parks as well as the many missions in California and Texas. I also have been fly fishing in the past and seek to renew that passion as well. There's nothing like canoeing out and bringing in a Rainbow, German Brown or that elusive Golden Trout only to release it back to nature. All this can be very enjoyable and romantic with that very special person at my side.
