I am not able to respond immediately to emails, but will eventually. I am a a lively extrovert who also has a need for quiet peaceful times. I love the beauty of nature and love to sail! I have a naturally inquisitive mind, a sense of humor and enjoy a good conversation. I am basically easy to please and have been described as compassionate, warm and easy to talk to. I love to travel and enjoy exploring the history of any given area. I went to Italy in May 2014 and loved it. The after hours tour of the Sistine chapel was amazing and the beauty of the Amalfi coast -- what can i say?! :)

Hi! I'm originally from northern California, but have lived for the last 10+ years down in San Diego with a brief 3 year detour to Minnesota. I grew up Catholic, but really it didn't become an big part of my life until I was in college. Now, it's an important part of my daily life. I'm an elementary school teacher and it's pretty great. I'm lucky to be doing something fun day to day....and get paid for it. :) I'm pretty easy going and laid back. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and experiencing new and different things. I'm not a master of any impressive skills or hobbies, but I enjoy attempting to take pictures, playing guitar so you can almost tell what song it is, and cooking food that is mostly edible. I also love to travel--- I'm beginning to plan where I'd like to head to next.

I love to be outdoors, smelling the fresh morning dew on an early sunrise horizon. Seeing the colors of the day as they greet me with ever increasing light and vision. The cool calming feel of the morning air invirogates and even encourages long sensual breaths. All of these sensations allow me to feel alive, to appreciate all that the day and life has to offer. Camping, hunting and fishing all allow me to use certain skill sets that make even sometimes daunting adventures to be smooth as silk. The way that nature is depicted on the Discovery Channel and even on the History Channel really express how I enjoy all that is outdoors and alive. Although shows like Outsourced, M*A*S*H, The Office all provide laughter and enjoyment as well

Hi. Thank you for reading my profile. I do believe that What we are is God's gift to us. And what we become is our gift to God. Im a devout Catholic. I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6) . Im shy when im with new people but feels comfortable as I know them more. I consider myself simple but conservative. I love outdoor activities like walking in the park, watch sunset at the beach , watch baseball game ( Im a Padres fan), play bowling, and sometimes, I just love to drive around. Most of the time, I spend my free time reading books and inspiring verses. I love to listen to love songs, gospel songs, worship songs, jazz music , and instrumentals. My favorite christian singers are the Maranatha singers ,Hillsong and the CFC Music Ministry choir.. I too love the Josh Groban version of "You Raise Me Up" song. It's a very inspiring song that every lyric of it lifts my spirit to the max. Weekends goes by quickly for me as I am occupied with certain activities. I spend Saturday doing my personal errands, shopping, chores, spend time with fam and friends, walking and its my movie day. On Sundays, I do my religious obligation to God, attend mass and offer my singing voice to God as member of the church choir. I really love to sing. Having been a member of a religious Community that spread the words of God and do evangelization work to help bring others to God, I attend prayer group meetings with a group of women on Sunday afternoon. Once in a while, do community service to help the needy. On weekdays, I focus on my livelihood , and do church choir practice after work on Monday evenings.

Hi! At the risk of sounding cliche, I never know what to put here... I guess I'll start with my occupation. I'm a high school English teacher at my alma mater. As any teacher would say, teaching is far from easy; however, I find my occupation to be incredibly rewarding and one that I am quite passionate about. In addition to my occupation (or my vocation, I should say), my life revolves around my family, friends, hobbies, and of course, my faith--that's why I'm here on Catholic Match! :) I enjoy spending time with friends, especially during the weekend after a long week at work. I do my best to maintain a work-life balance. I'm somewhat of a health and fitness enthusiast. I enjoy working out at the gym, so I usually go everyday. I've always enjoyed reading books, although I tend to read a little slower than I would prefer when school is in session due to work. Another big interest of mine is anime; I appreciate a good story and feel that some of the most masterful storytellers express their art through this medium (and oftentimes, anime shows are just plain funny and I want the good laughs). One more thing about me is that I tend to be a little introverted at first, but I also open up as I get to know a person. If you think you might be interested in getting to know me, feel free to say hi. :)

I was very happily married for 37 3/4 years, but God chose the time for my husband to go back "home". He was "gone" in 5 months with an aggressive leukemia. He always had a smile, and I want to look across a lunch-table and see someone smiling at me again. It has been over 7 years. I was blessed with a grandson 5 months after he died and 3 weeks after my mom died............ He is the light of my life, so I plan lots of things to do with him. I love my yard and's my "therapy". I love photography and make photo cards into birthday, anniversary cards for so many of my friends and family. Love to travel........always have to have a trip to look forward to.....even if it's just 2 hours to Palm Springs. Love to read as I was always on my feet as a nurse for 40 years (just part-time since "the kids", who are now 39 and 34). To sit and read (with no interruptions) is such a pleasure. Just back from the NJ coast to help rebuild a Sandy-hurricane destroyed home thru International Relief teams based in San of 11 and I helped lay bamboo flooring for 5 days. Never had done anything like this hips, back and knees were screaming at me, but I survived the week. Humbling to know I can't do everything I think I can do.
