60, El Sobrante, CATechnical and artistic person who enjoys museums, travel, and running. Interested in most things and am rarely bored. Love to travel and be outside and enjoy the simple things in life, including running, movies, books, and art. I like to build things. Rainy days in the museum are as good as sunny days on the mountain top. Like to walk the Golden Gate Bridge or run in the Berkeley Hills? I have a great job and I enjoy going to work every day.
37, El Sobrante, CAFirst of all, if you're a Dodgers fan, we are not a match (unless you are highly convincing of your redeeming qualities ;) ). I am very passionate about music and singing so if you're musically inclined you get automatic bonus points. My family is extremely important to me and we're very close. My family and I are masters at speaking in accents (not all of which are very good). I enjoy cooking & breaking bread with loved ones and have been getting more experimental in the kitchen. I enjoy nights out (comedy, karaoke, concerts) as well as nights in (board games, movies, reminiscing about how great the 90's were). I used to be a cat person but the dogs in my life have won me over, even though none of the pups are mine. I'm very affectionate (if you've read The 5 Love Languages, physical touch is one of my main love languages). I am loyal, caring, friendly, unique, fun, compassionate, spontaneous, sometimes silly & rambunctious and I like to surround myself with similar people.
37, El Sobrante, CAI am passionate about making a difference in the lives of people I meet. I try to give those little acts of kindness that make the lives of people around me a little better, yet more meaningful.
55, El Sobrante, CAI've defined myself as a wife and mother (of 3), a daughter, a sister, an aunt. Then when life changed, I had to understand how to redefine myself for myself. I'm looking forward still to my re-envisioned future and I know that I will be just fine. I have three young adult children (18, 20, and 23) and we are very close. My parents and sisters/families live within 35 miles and spend holidays together, as well as stay in contact throughout the week. I work full-time in SF, looking forward to retiring in a couple of years and doing something else for a living, something that I'll be passionate about. I attended Catholic schools, went to college (UC Berkeley, Holy Names), and am making the most of those experiences. Education is extremely important to me. I enjoy movies, theatre, live music. I plan to travel more and have a golden retriever that is my companion these days. I have lovely friends, mostly from work, with whom I plan outings, travel, and going out. To be honest, I was married for 28 years, attached to that same man in total for 37 years. In my head, I can see myself dating and feeling comfortable with a variety of people - learned from 25+ years working in government. The hardest thing is actually "connecting" with someone. I tried another online dating service last year and went out once. Lots of "messages," some of which were not appropriate or even revealing. I just don't see yet how these sites can work for average people, and I'm not sure that catholic.match will bring me closer to anyone in the East Bay. But I'm giving it a try.
33, El Sobrante, CACurrently, I am a student. Big sports fan. 49ers, Giants, and Warriors. I also love to go bowling, karaoke, and trying out new restaurants and going out to bars with friends. Love to make people laugh with my craziness. At my church, I am a Confirmation Teacher, Youth Minister, Lector, and Eucharistic Minister just to name a few. I enjoy ministering to youth because I see their potential and I love sharing my life experiences with them. It is my way of giving back because I enjoyed youth ministry when I was a teenager and it made a difference in my life. It is by far the most rewarding experience.
75, El Sobrante, CAI am a widow for the past six years. My deceased husband was not a Catholic but he was a most wonderful man and very spiritual. I was happily married for 46 years and have three great children all of whom are married and three grandchildren with one granddaughter on the way. Since my husband passed away, I decided to go back to school and am completing a master's degree at John F. Kennedy University in Psychology with a specialization in Bereavement. I hope to be able to work with parents who have lost children in the military service. My mother died when I was only 10 years old and my father raised me and my two brothers with the help of extended family. My father was a very influential person in my life and I felt as though he was very trusting of me and that I had to maintain very high standards because he expected it of me. He also died young at age 67 and that was a great loss to me. Also of great note in my life was my husband Hasan who was born and raised in Afghanistan. I married him when I was 21 years old and we met at UC Berkeley. He studied architecture and then went into the restaurant business. He was very talented and was successful in his business. He took some business gambles which did not pay off and we had to work together to rebuild our economic life. He was one of the most influential people in my life and still I feel his protection and support for me and our family. He was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew and his strength in the face of severe illness was unbelievable and miraculous. I am most passionate about keeping unity with my childen and my family. I have always been very family minded and since my husband. I am also passionate about keeping my social contacts with my old friends and making new friends in the community among the widows and widowers. I am also passionate about my future work with the veteran families and am anxious to finish my thesis. I enjoy walking and playing the classical piano. I have had lessons for about 8 years and even though I don't have a teacher now, I do practice regularly. I enjoy swimming and daily exercise. I also enjoy gourmet cooking, theatre, the San Francisco Symphony, the Cal Bears football and basketball games. And of course travelling of which I have done a lot and camping in an RV. I enjoy visiting family and friends on the East Coast also as my daughter and grandkids are there and my brother and some very close friends.
58, El Sobrante, CAI am a novelist: I am most passionate about writing. And reading. And God, of course. I should state here that I am not actually Catholic but Eastern Orthodox. Try finding an Eastern Orthodox dating site. You would think that I, being a writer, would have more to say about myself, but remember--it's FICTION I like to write. Personal stuff is another matter.

63, El Sobrante, CAI enjoy spending my free time taking walks, especially with my tea cup Chihuahua, Chico, hiking, going sailing, going to street fairs and festivals, having a couple of drinks at a happy hour and just exploring new and/or beautiful places. I like gardening, sewing, arts & craft type projects, cooking/baking and like to have a neat and orderly home.
75, El Sobrante, CAAfter far too long, I am back in the Catholic church, which is very important to me. I am blessed with excellent health, and a perfect part-time job as a legal secretary. I am a lifelong animal lover. Being out in nature is my favorite place. In my spare time I read and watch television - yes, I do enjoy it! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area now, but I have lived on the east and gulf coasts, and spent almost five years in France. I am an anglophile, but also love most anything Japanese, as well as mid-century modern. My best qualities are, besides honesty, integrity and a good sense of humor, are optimism, adaptability, and I make friends easily. I have tried many times to upload a photo, but get only error messages. I apologize,
