I'm smart and funny if you like my sense of humor. I'm also thoughtful and attentive. I value family and love kids. I'm very well attuned to the workings of the world, I guess that's called common sense. I know about a lot of things and usually find it easy to talk to most people. I'm going to leave it at that for now but there's lots more.

Well, so here it goes.. I have many passions, among them volunteering, travel, local biking on weekends, walking the shore, a better environment, continued contact with family, Masterpiece Theatre, Nova, reading regularly, good music especially the Hollywood Bowl in summer time.. the list goes on. I guess I'm getting more conservative as time goes on but I've always had somewhat liberal roots. Am intensly interested in technical goings-on and industry developments but my religous committment has become more of the overriding influence in my life.

I savor & have fun within this wonderful gift of life we've been given, though I appreciate a sense of duty. To whom much is given, much is expected. Being authentically Christian challenges us to embrace suffering. And exposes us to ongoing graces that allow us to fully appreciate the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

To start with passions, I am a big fan of exploring and adventuring. I do hope to travel around the world one day. I also have a great fondness for food: cooking it, eating it, trying exotic food, etc. I also have an innate curiosity in artisan work (currently able to woodwork decently well) and in martial arts (especially sword work). I of course have a passion for my faith and spirituality and try to bring it in to everything I do. Leisure time wise: I like to go on little locals adventures to learn and experience more about the town I am in. I also have a connection to the ocean due to growing up near it and have enjoyed going to the beach, and surfing...amatuerly..ever since! When indoors, I do enjoy watching movies or tv shows. I do have a bit of a "geeky" side in that I enjoy several sci-fi and fantasy series and the books, shows, video games associated with them. On the flip side, I always try and stay healthy with exercise and some recreational sports like basketball and dodgeball. For people who have inspired me, well there are a lot and I would probably tell stories about them all the time. My family is for sure the most important as they have shaped the man I am today. My mom and dad have been anchors of faith and advice, and my siblings have helped me to stay fun, patient, and just a touch silly.

I'm a simple girl. I love life and laughing comes easy. I love to travel celebrate all those special moments that life brings...birthdays and holidays. In my leisure time...I love to watch movies, reconnect with friends, cook, hike, play any type of physical game...or just hanging out and cuddle with my kids.

No-nonsense, hardworking, down-to-earth, adventurous Catholic girl with a great sense of humor. I like whiskey, dogs, guns, big jewelry, lace and high heels. Cafeteria Catholics, "Catholic light", and anyone who isn't 7/7 need not apply. So lame that I don't have a picture up, right? Sigh...I know. But it's just not cool when a dude messages you, you politely decline (because he doesn't fall into any real match criteria and is waaay older) and then he recognizes you at church starts constantly sitting near you. #notafan #icleanuptoasolid6.5/10

I was raised Catholic in Southern California but, upon going away to college on the East Coast, I became non-observant and remained so for many years though I never became a non-believer. When my father turned me on to AM talk radio, it was as if a dense fog had been lifted and my Christian conviction naturally started to rebuild. Even so, I remained outside the realm of Catholic practice except financially as an online donor. An avid movie goer, it was the recent slew of faith-based films that eventually got me over the edge last year and I have been faithfully attending church weekly and learning more and more of what I have forgotten or never learned in the first place. I am also a great believer in America and truly feel she is exceptional. Jazz musicians are both our cultural warriors and ambassadors for this uniquely American art form that embodies our quintessential values. What am I most proud of? It would be my two younger sisters who weathered the separation of our parents in their formative years and still managed to get into and excel at elite universities and became, one, a doctor and, the other, a lawyer. When I am not playing my horn or at the office, I enjoy walking for exercise - something I started this Lent - following political and financial/news, furthering arts education in underserved communities, and rooting for my USC Trojans!
