I'm Mary, I grew up in So. Cal and I have lived in this area for 8 years. I have some friends at church and I'm active at church. I am hoping I will meet someone to share my life with. I would like to meet a match that I can e-mail for awhile before we meet. I love to read. I like true crime books and am facinated with how crimes are investigated. True stuff not CSI. I like music and enjoy going to concerts. I am an avid picture taker and spend time making photo books for my family. I have a big family that I love, I'm not looking to start my own family now. ...but I do enjoy spending time with children.

My catholic faith means everything to me. I work full time as a barista and I'm studying programmingand coding on my own, I would like to some day be able to write my own pc programs.I enjoy reading quite a lot. When I think of the things I look forward the most is having a catholic family that treasures their faith and live according to it. I've been trying to go to mass everyday.... so faith is and I want it to be my compass in life. I love the rosary, also my favorite tittle of the blessed virgin Mary is our lady of mount Carmel.

I would say passionate about design and art. Also about living my faith. The most influential person I would have to say is my mom. Her strength and moral standards have influenced me greatly. In my leisure time I enjoy exercise, reading, going out dancing when possible.

I am an extremely passionate woman, mostly about family and work; happy; healthy and spiritual; and looking for similar qualities in a mate. I enjoy what I do and am successful in my work. Because I work for myself, I can make time for a man in my life. I feel that we are "hard-wired" to have someone special in our lives. I enjoy the gym; the beach; travel of any kind; good music, movies and books. I also enjoy cooking.

I am passionate about trying to do whatever it is that I can understand God planned for me! In my career I help kids, and I'm looking for more ways to actually do (unpaid) service while balancing kids and taking care of myself. I try to fit in cycling and running as a type of meditation, and Jesus is part of my every day. Most of all, I enjoy connecting with other people - family, friends, strangers, all children of God finding our way.

In the end what facinates me more than anything is philosophy. I have put a lot of time and money into my training as a philosopher so that I could teach in a Catholic university with the freedom that the Church gives us. I was a priest in the Episcopal Church (Anglican) for 15 years serving three parishes in California, my home state. And I found that although the Episcopal Church prides itself on its freedom actually its leftist hierarchy tyrronizes the conservatives creating a church anything but free. I could not think philosophically free as an episcopalian. One day, after 2 years of struggle, Our Blessed Mother very personally and strongly drew me into the Catholic Church. I had the sense that she was ordering me into the Catholic Church! I heard her say to me, "Get into the Church" as if my entrance into the Mother Church was a matter of great urgency. I would have to relinquish my priesthood in the Episcopal Church if I entered the Catholic Church. I would no longer have a job to support my children. A precarious position. But God made it clear that, for me, it was better to be a Catholic layman than an Episcopal priest. So I went back to school and earned a doctorate and now I'm a professor in a catholic seminary. I have a little Down syndrome son who of all the people in the world is my greatest joy. His name is Christian and he is well known at the seminary. He likes playing the guitar with his brothers reading good books and eating cheeseburgers. He keeps my feet on the ground and models an unconditional love for everybody he meets. A model which I should follow. We spend a lot of time together. But there remains ample room for one more: a catholic woman who would be loved deeply by both of us. and who I plan to cherish. My Catholic faith is vey important to me. It guides every intention of my heart as well as the ideas of my mind. "The heart has reasons that the reason knows not of." (Pascal) I will stay in the Bay Area where my family has lived for six generations and where I have been a professor for 20 years. I will continue to teach and write at the seminary. And I would like to meet someone who could journey with me in this kind of life. And not just journey together on a dusty path of routine and boredom, but to love each other wildly and to express that love demonstrably, and to "be there" for each other when we face challenges. In other words, I need a God-sent, genuine woman.

I'm a professional Hispanic/Caucasian woman seeking a professional college educated man. I moved to the Bay Area from LA in February and I'm still getting the lay of the land and trying to figure out what is what. I'm interested in a long term relationship and looking to permanently settle in the Peninsula area, however, I am not looking to rush into anything. I like rock music from classic to alt rock. I'm kind of stuck in the 90s at this point. Mumford and Sons just don't do it for me. I do like Muse and Imagine Dragons but tend to run back to my NIN or U2. I'll tell you about my experiences and who has been influential in my life when we meet.
