Originally from the east coast, born and raised in Philly... Moved around a bit and have lived in San Francisco for the last 11 years, moved back to the East Coast for 5 years - NYC & Philly and now I am back in the Bay Area. I love Great Food, Dining and Cooking and equally as much I really enjoy Eating. You could say that I am a typical 'Foodie' & even go as far to say that I am 'food-obsessed'... So much so that in my free time, I like to write about my favorite dining experiences and food in general. I go by the name Urban Food Maven... You can find me there bc I'm not officially on here... I have a very healthy appetite in many respects, especially for the Passions in my life... namely Food, Dance, My Family and Travel...Besides my Love of Food, I Love to Dance Salsa. I also love to Travel and am certified in scuba diving. I am a free, independent, open-minded and passionate & social being who just wants to enjoy life for what I can make out of it. I am Straightforward... and Passion and Honesty are BIG for me. Also, I am very Family-oriented and it is important to me that you are too... I DO take the bull by its proverbial horns and personally believe that it is up to you to make things happen... I do not believe in regret or in that cop out of a phrase 'I'm bored'... I am bold and unabashed and a sucker for a great Smile... So there you have it... Take me or leave me.

I'm a kind and dependable person with a big heart. I value honesty and a sense of humor. Find happiness in others and favor putting others first. I consider myself to be mild manner and on the very rare occasion I am usually the last know about drama that involves myself. Although you can't downplay the importance of physical attraction, a kind and considerate person is by far the number one characteristic I look for.

I am named after my father William Daniel English, whom I lost to a brain hemorrhage when I was six. Growing up without him made me more introspective as I grew up. My mother later put me in the Boy Scouts and I came out of my shell while learning and growing to be a young man. My parish priest was a great help along the way as well just by being younger and kinder. Growing up in the sixties produced many examples to follow and even more to morn the loss of. I understood that I should be a positive leader, and peace maker in whatever way I could as well as do my best in whatever I attempted. I studied music and play the oboe and clarinet. I also ran track, cross country and played soccer. I still play soccer to this day and follow the sport world wide.

Hi, I was raised Catholic, attented Catholic school through 8th grade, but I got away from the church after that. However, I went back in 1996 & have been attending Mass (on Sundays) ever since. I'm not overly spiritual & I don't agree with all the rules & teachings of the church but I do enjoy the particular church I go to. In my spare time I enjoy music, movies & books...

Well, I just visited my best friend from St Paul's Catholic grade school, while the pope was visiting in the Philadelphia area..."Have the Courage to be Happy!" We had the best time together and have parallel lives...except I don't have a wonderful Catholic husband. We both have two grown children and one granddaughter...which is a thrill! We both have excellent health and love "taking it up a notch" with hiking and a deep appreciation of the outdoor! We love to make really healthy natural shakes with super healthy ingredients. My newest goal is to work out on the elliptical, 60 - 90 minutes/day. I love natural healthcare as my work and my MD girlfriend wants me to get licensed in I am looking at doing that.

Hello and thanks for viewing my profile. I'll start with my faith, which is an integral part of my life as I love being a Catholic and have been one since the cradle. I am a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and will join the Parish Council in the fall of 2016. I also help out with fundraising events and whatever else is needed. I belong to St. Leo the Great Church on Piedmont Ave. I retired on August 15, 2015, so having free time is new to me. I was blessed with having a very successful career in health care and have several good several friends who I keep in touch with. So now seems to be the perfect time to reach out and hopefully find someone to share my retirement life with. I have three sons: my youngest, who lives in Burlingame is single; my oldest son, who lives in San Diego is married with two children; and my middle son who lives in East Aurora, New York, is married and has two children. I see my youngest son weekly, usually for Sunday dinner and my other two sons usually 2-3 times per year. Of course I never mind visiting them in San Diego or New York. I really enjoy going to movies, watching sporting events, (Go Warriors), taking long walks, dining out or cooking healthful meals. I am in great health and work hard with diet and exercise to stay this way. I'll stop now and leave the rest for a phone conversation should the time come. Looking forward to hearing from you. Donna
