The last 7 years I've served for the Navy Civil Engineering Corp in some capacity in South America, the Middle East and Europe. I would like to find someone to fall in love with and marry, though that has been difficult with my military commitments. I'm excited to be blessed to settle in a new position in Ventura County, CA offering a more stable life style. Even if it can't be in person, I enjoy meeting and talking with others who will encourage a deeper faith. I do read your entire profile. If it makes me smile and I wish to get to know you better, I'll simply send a smile...if you read my profile and the feeling is mutual then you can just send a smile back and I'll send you a message. I'm very close with my family. I love my nieces and nephews, and hope to have kids of my own, but at this stage, I'm happy with the road the good Lord lays out for me if I don't. I've been active in other volunteer organizations (political and civic) as well, but I don't let that stop me from having my fun - I like going to festivals, baseball games, travelling, reading, learning more about my catholic faith and the history of the Church.

First and foremost my Catholic Faith is everything to me. I didn't have a strong Catholic upbringing as a child but was lead to do my First Communion and Confirmation by my lovely grandmother (Dad's Mom). I had a strong desire around 18 to want to learn more about the Faith so I started reading books which had lead me to become a big bookworm. I now own around 200 books in which most are all Catholic oriented. My hobbies include reading books of course ;) I love going to the theater often to watch a good movie. I follow and have watched all of the Marvel/Disney movies to date. I'm really into music and love discovering new artists to listen to such as Asta - "I Need Answers" and Cannons "Down on Love" which are some songs I recently came across and like. Traveling is something I love to do when I have some extra cash lying around as well. One place I have traveled to that is Catholic is a place called Medjugorje which is in Bosnia/Herzegovina. I was fortunate enough to travel there in 2007 and fell in love with the village and people. Though it's not approved as a Marian Shrine yet by the Catholic Church it is still a place to visit just to see and experience.

Hi there! Since I couldn't fit in a nutshell, here are some bits and pieces about what kind of a kind guy I am. (^_^) I'm a very fortunate child of God who owes Him an eternal debt of gratitude for so many undeserved blessings throughout my life - and counting! So in return I can't help but want to make my life a pleasant offering to Him in Christ our Lord. I think I'm an easygoing person who usually gets along pretty well with people - without compromising the important things. I strive to be a good listener and watch what I think I should say. I have a set of beliefs (which is updated frequently) and I try to live by them. I believe in happy, life-long sacramental marriages and in all the beautiful fruits that come forth from them, especially the salvation of souls and the countless benefits to society. I believe that strong lives of faith make possible to live the generous sacrifice, tenderness, patience, trust, good communication, chastity, openness to truth, life, and goodness, that are some of the ingredients that make these marriages possible. I could be wrong -no joke- but I see humor as a pretty important part of most humans. While life has some very important issues that need to be addressed seriously, I think that humor usually helps keep things at ground level and also takes much of the excess worry and stress out.

I enjoy going places and doing things but it is always more fun when shared. I like music, reading, walking, movies, theater, art, cooking but most of all I like dancing. I believe that a full life is one of relationships and experiences and cannot be achieved without sharing ourselves with others. I am philosophical and passionate, hopeful and appreciative. My priorities are God, family, friends, work and then all else but in that order. I enjoy people, laughter, food, wine, nature, activity, rest, being creative and taking in the creativity of others. I enjoy most art forms but music touches me the deepest. So it is no wonder that I also love moving to music or find myself humming or singing to allow something of me to bubble out. I have traveled some but not enough yet. I have been to Alaska, NYC, southern California, Grand Canyon (Awesome!), Maryland, DC, South Beach and more within the US. I have cruised to the Caribbean, Mexico and around the Mediterranean. I loved Rome, especially St. Peters. I enjoy doing things at home such as reading, cooking, sewing, plants or painting a room. I enjoy hiking, the outdoors, movies, theater, coffee with a friend and a night of dancing. I am confident, competent, intelligent, sincere, kind, and loving and I seek a man who is similar. I can be intense and too serious sometimes but I also know how to goof off and have a good time. My life, so far, has been anything but boring and I don't see boring in my future. I work hard and wouldn't have it any other way. My professional life is intense but it is my calling. My relationships with family and friends ground me and bolster my resilience. I have been blessed in so many ways but my life lacks the presence of that special person to be my best friend; my other half.

AAHHH.. the dreaded talk about yourself portion of these things. I always strive everyday to make myself better than yesterday. I am an avid sports fan cheering on the Dodgers and Lakers (even though they suck right now). Great food and travelling had always been something that I have had interest in for as long as I remember. Given my career of choice I also have an inclination of putting others before me and helping others. I've always found it difficult to describe myself mainly because I'm not sure how people perceive me and I don't really like to talk about myself (I could furnish some references). If I have to I would say that I'm your classic triple threat with teddy bear like qualities :P (I can elaborate if you ask me). I consider myself to be a very simple person. It doesn't take much to keep me content (I heard ice cream does the trick). I believe I have a very humble and stoic personality which most of the time it's usually interpreted wrong but for the most part, if you decide to take the time to get to know me you will know I can be quite silly and easy going.

Since my mother's passing, I've felt a little lost. I'm a man who is currently on a journey to building a stronger relationship with God and in order to stay on that path and continue with my mother's teachings, I want to find someone who has a strong faith and a loving relationship with God. I'm just a simple dude looking for someone to build an honest relationship with, no games or drama. looking for someone to share quality time with (deep conversations, try new things, learn from each other and attend mass together etc). Even though I've felt a little lost lately I know wherever I go God finds me.

I'm a very personalble, love to make people smile and laugh. Love the outdoors and the beach. A very passionate person.... Love adventure and to try new things. Love to watch and go to baseball games. I do like to watch any sport that's on. Maybe meet someone with the same interests and who is not afraid to experience more. Most of all my family and the man above is very important to me. They are my rock and sole!! They are responsible for who I have became in a person, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Blessed to have 2 grown kids that are loving and supportive. There may be distance between us but our love is stronger then ever. Like my daughter always says to me "God has great plans for me."

God, family, and just being happy are things that keep me going in life. Without those things, what a life worth living really? When I'm not working you'll find me helping out the church directing my youth choir, or teaching confirmation classes during the school year. But that's just one aspect of my life!
