55, Sacramento, CAI've lived in Sacramento for the past 20 years, and Im part of a large family that is still close by. I have three beautiful kids. Its been really fun to share my love of sports with them and to watch as they start to participate in some of those activities. I have a great passion for my house (a 1914 Victorian cottage loads of built ins and great molding!) and enjoy working on it whenever I have time. A perfect date for me would be cooking dinner for you and a long conversation afterwards in front of the fire. I also like driving up to my property in Amador County and garden and cut firewood. Like most guys, I enjoy playing ball, and the game of choice is softball (several nights a week for the past 10 years), but dont get the wrong idea I have time and will make time for the right relationship. Its hard to describe me (not sure we ever really see ourselves that clearly), but my sister will vouch for me (well, maybe!). She would say to tell you that Im someone who speaks my mind (sometimes a good thing, but gets me in trouble too); but if I connect with someone, you can always count on me to be honest. I argued with one of my friends about whether to say Im 61 or 60 (Im actually 6-1/2), but I wanted to make sure you knew I was in the 6 foot club. Of course, there are pictures on this profile, but like most people the 3-D me is probably different than a one-dimensional picture. For instance, it was really tough to pick a category about my body type because Im probably actually slim/athletic. So if body builder is your style, we probably arent a fit! If you like the sound of any of this, write me and tell me about you.

31, Sacramento, CAHello! Thank you for dropping by and looking at my profile. I am a very devoted Catholic because it is a daily part of my life. Without it, I do not know where I would be today. I graduated with my degree in Dietetics and I am currently working as a registered diet technician at a Catholic hospital. My main goal is to someday work as a clinical dietitian with specialty in nutrition support. I would also like to continue helping people with special dietary needs. I am passionate about helping others and growing closer to God each day. During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, traveling, spending time with my niece, and swimming. If you would like to know more, feel free to send a message.
48, Sacramento, CASpecial Introduction - Updated Thank you for glancing at my profile. In all fairness, I am allowing the Spirit to guide me in the coming weeks and months. Over the course of the last half of 2014 and into 2015, I prepared for the Camino Frances, which takes pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. In May 2015, I walked over 200 miles in 12.5 days, completing my pilgrimage. My plans are to return in 2017 to walk the full 500 miles from Saint Jean France to Santiago. I have recently completed a photo book on my experience and plan to create a DVD based from photos and GoPro footage. Starting in April, I resume my conditioning training, along with a bit more weight loss, so I can be fully ready for my new adventure, hopefully with fellow pilgrims from the FSSP. The Way of Saint James is a truly life changing experience and a form of detachment. It helps highlight how many unnecessary burdens we carry in life and what really matters, namely a pack on your back, a rosary in your pocket, trusting in providence, and a way forward. Normal Introduction: I can sum myself up with two phrases: - Dedicated to the things and people I believe in. - Dedicated to giving myself for the benefit of others. A simple life snapshot covers it all: Daily mass, K of C responsibilities, Catholic Scripture Study, going to the gym, baking, gardening / yard work, helping out at St. Stephens, donating blood, enjoying the lack of Cable TV, watching an occasional DVD (preferably something that children can watch), drinking wine, and now introduced free audio books to the lineup to help combat intellectual / spiritual sloth.
45, Sacramento, CAMy work in education keeps me busy and I don't get to go out much so I thought I would try Catholic Match. I'm honest and responsible and like to treat others how I would like to be treated. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I also have a sense of humor, sarcastic at times, and like to laugh and make others laugh. I like to take trips to the ocean. I love going to Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco. I also like taking trips to Southern California and Lake Tahoe. I love the outdoors once in a while but I enjoy going to the movies or just watching a movie at home the most. I enjoy watching a game of baseball or football whether at home or live. My favorite teams are the 49'ers and Giants. I also like a concert with a good 80's band. Some of my favorite are Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Cars, Howard Jones and many others. I also like Christian music such as Chris Tomlinson and Tenth Avenue North. In the last few years I have learned more about my Catholic faith and have followed it closely. I love God and my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them. I attend mass at least twice a week; once throughout the week and once Saturday evening or Sunday and am looking to attend more. I learned to make rosaries and found my new hobby. If I could make rosaries without stopping I would. I wish I had more time.

53, Sacramento, CAHello, I am passionate about life and the great beauty God has made us for, and made for us. We live in a time of great confusion, great destruction and yet; great possibilities. I have lived through divorce and raised four young children to adulthood, I know the pain and difficulty of life in today's world. But I also know the great joy and peace that Jesus taught us: "The world cannot take from you"..and this has seen me through the darkness. This is the beauty of our faith, it is the only hope for the world. John Paul 2 said we live in a culture of death -- but love really does conquer all things, if we really believe it will. I have reached an age in my life when I am over manufactured drama and hardheartedness, I see this so much, people live in fear and blame, anger and vengeance. That's not for me. Thanks to my parents I always believed in goodness, even when I was the only one in the room who did. I have had to fight to keep this faith and received lots of blows; all calculated to make me stop believing in goodness, the goodness of God, the goodness in others, the goodness in myself. Faith is the answer we all need and love is the fruit of this kind of faith. This has to be true no matter what real drama we have to go through on our journey. But, to journey alone is not what I want. I want to meet and share this faith, this love with a wonderful woman who has come to the same conclusions I have, on her own journey. I want us to join our journeys into one grand journey with mutual respect for each other, for every other person we meet and for God's creation...and mostly to believe in goodness and love no matter what the world does....this is what peace and love are all about. You don't have to be perfect, just be stubbornly determined to make this a reality in your life..and it will: "Faith is the realization of things hoped for..." ---St. Paul. Let's make it real...
