52, Santa Cruz, CANice guys finish last At least that is what many of my friends and colleagues have said. You are too selective others have said. However, I remain hopeful (through Jesus and Mary) that I will meet a devout Catholic woman, who believes that traditional religious and family values, a respectful (even chivalrous) demeanor, genuineness, and a great sense of humor are important. Besides, even though I look good in black clothing (hey, it's an Italian thing!), I dont believe that the priesthood is what God has planned for me! As a life-long practicing Catholic, raised in a conservative Italian-Irish family, I still observe traditional Catholic values, and I prayerfully seek a relationship with someone who maintains the same values. God has given me many blessings, among them are the gift of faith, a wonderful family, and close friends. I am gainfully employed in Silicon Valley, but am able to maintain a favorable work/life balance. Favorite non-working endeavors include church-related activities, weight-lifting/training, cooking (Italian food being a specialty), learning (especially about History and Science), and college football (I'm a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and love the "Fighting Irish"). If you are a devout woman, who is committed to her faith and genuine Catholic values, I would enjoy hearing from you. Blessings to you.
46, Santa Cruz, CAI would describe myself as a relatively gregarious, friendly person. I enjoy a good laugh and have a great sense of humor. I spend a lot of my personal time flyfishing and watching/attending soccer events, as well as spending time with my family. I come from a large Italian family and am very close to all of them. I feel very blessed to have my family so close to me (most live in Santa Cruz). I also have a close network of friends here in Santa Cruz as well. I also feel very blessed to have grown up and live in Santa Cruz. This area has a lot to offer.
51, Santa Cruz, CAISA - Chemistry First I thought I'd say a few words on my take on relationships and compatibility... The elusive pursuit of chemistry as the starting point for intimate relationships remains the big challenge for this dating adventure. Being a part-time engineer I created a little compatibility formula: ISA Chemistry. ISA stands for my three favorite activities: Intellectual (wit and regular doses of humor go along with this), Spiritual, and Athletic. If my partner has an affinity for these three on some level then that's a great start towards chemistry and relationship exploration! Chemistry over the long term is a head and heart endeavor. Inevitably one can't reduce it all down to a formula hence the validation of the heart piece and the mysterious 'x' factor within the pursuit of chemistry and compatibility. Further commentary on my interests include travel, playing guitar, conversing on stimulating topics, and spending time in nature. My spiritual home base is Christianity with some zen thrown in as well. My athletic activities include cycling, hiking, running, swimming and various team sports. I very much appreciate the Bay Area and am amazed at the endless outdoor opportunities here. For career I do a combination of software and psychology. Professionally I have a bit of a portfolio career with an emphasis on creativity and entrepreneurial activities in the mental health and tech fields. I'm originally from the East coast (NY/NJ) but fell in love with the natural beauty and open spaces of the West - except of course when the fall foliage hits the East coast then that wins :) I tend to always be on the lookout for deep or comical angles on life events. Down time is certainly appreciated but love to share adventure, athletics, intimate moments, and conversation. It's all about the journey and here are some favorite quotes on the way... "Humans transcends death by finding meaning for their life." - Ernest Becker "In every leap of life, every turn toward the future, every creative momentum, every loving surge, every dash toward beauty, every running toward truth, every ecstasy over simple goodness, every bit of ambition for wholeness and holiness, is the eternally-flowing life of the Trinitarian God. Grace is not an occasional additive in our world that some people occasionally merit, but a revolution inherent in all of creation." - Richard Rohr, Dance: The Trinity and your transformatio

57, Santa Cruz, CAI'm Carlos, I'm a believer in Jesus Christ The Savior. I grew up in Catholic Church and schools here in California. I am an environmentally conscious man. I believe that God wants me to help the ecosystem like plants and trees and animals. I became interested in Solar Energy early in College and have a degree in Solar Energy Technology. I like people that have interest in helping the planet, and that are willing to participate in doing good things for the environment. I think I'm a tree hugger. I like women that have a great sense of humor, believers, and have a spiritual way about them and the things they do and say. I hope to find a kind and wonderful mate to wonder around with and willing to do the good things that God has graced our hearts with.
70, Santa Cruz, CAI'm a happy, active, healthy, and independent person. I recently retired after a long career in health care. Just for fun, and to keep my brain active, I do some consulting and occasional editing. I was widowed after a very happy 37 year marriage. My greatest joy is my children and grandchildren, and I enjoy seeing them as frequently as possible. My second passion is gardening - not only in my own yard, but also as a volunteer at the local arboretum and with the gardening committee at my church. I exercise regularly at the gym, plus I love taking long walks around town, in the state parks, or along the ocean. I have always loved to cook, and like to experiment on my friends with new recipes. Even kitchen disasters can be fun! Travel is another pleasure - sometimes solo road trips in the Northwest, or occasionally travel to Europe to visit cousins. I enjoy reading just about anything, and usually have two or three books going at the same time (one for each room?).
54, Santa Cruz, CAI am interested in meeting someone with similar values to spend time with. I like to be outdoors and play tennis and hike. I have a demanding job, but would like to have company when I have free time.
33, Santa Cruz, CAI enjoy going to school, learning new things, meeting new people, traveling, seeing new places and experiencing other cultures. Traveling to the east coast for the first time really opened my eyes to what america really looked like. I got to hear the way people spoke and see how the country has changed over time. I would have to say that the most influential people ive ever met in my life have been the freethinkers. People like Saint Paul, Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Anthony of padua are some who have inspired me. In my free time I enjoy trying new restaurants, visiting different historic places, and learning new things.
66, Santa Cruz, CAI'm passionate about life...I wake up happy everyday just thinking about my Grandson. He is my sunshine. My family is very important to me - I retired and moved here from the East Coast a year and a half ago. My Son, an only child, and his wife were expecting my first Grandchild and they wanted me to care for him while they are working. I have a good life here but I do miss all my friends. I would like to meet someone my age to go out to eat with and maybe see a show. I must say I also enjoy shopping.
