68, Solvang, CAI love my family/friends/church and spending time outdoors/music and reading .. I have been very blessed with great health and now retired time to spend the time traveling and enjoying .. I like the saying of when we are feeling things are not right we need to "slow down and let God catch up to me"...
46, Solvang, CAI am a fun, energetic, faithfilled girl. I am a junior high teacher & youth minister in the Santa Barbara area. My passion in life is to see kids fall in love with Jesus and get excited about their faith. I want them to get grace - and receive God's love and know that they don't have to earn it. A few years ago I wanted to learn more about the bible so I went to bible school in Montana (with Youth With A Mission/YWAM), and it was the best experience of my life and the most challenging. I really saw and experienced the mercy and love of God in scripture and in my life. After my year there as a student, I stayed on and taught in the program for the next 3 years. During that time I did a teaching trip to the Ukraine where some friends had started a satellite school. That was an awesome experience. I have also taken mission trips to Northern Ireland & South Africa. I moved back to the Santa Barbara area about four years ago because my Mom was getting older (She is 82 now). Let's see, I got into running a couple years ago and finished two marathons (Carlsbad & Chicago) last year. My friends are very important to me; they are my family, and they are spread out all over the world at this point. My students would tell you that I run on coffee, I love the bible, and U2 is the sound track to my life. That's me.
63, Solvang, CAI am a young age 60 woman. I finally know who I am after years of searching. I have returned to the faith I was raised in but wandered from. I find great peace in the Eucharist and attending mass as well as prayer. I like to go on mission trips (I did this with my former church affiliation), but not sure how this works with the Catholic faith.I like to be actively serving, as the extension of Christ in my life. I love the beauty and solitude found in nature and actively seek it out. I love painting and photographing with my Nikon D-60, riding my bike, walking and taking hikes,. I enjoy singing and sang with chorale groups over the past ten years. I love to read and keep my mind young by learning. I like to watch movies (BBC-Period, especially), plays, concerts etc.I am a homemaker, enjoying decorating, and hospitality raising a small organic garden and cooking healthy gourmet, though I am not able to do this presently. I love travel and exploring new places, but have mostly taken short trips. Returning to university to complete my BA three years ago was a long held dream of mine, and I am happy I did after raising my two sons, age 19 and 23. They are launched and I am now on my own. I did raised them solo for 16 long years, a period of great challenge which grew my faith in God tremendously! I was a Boy Scout mom, enjoyed raising them with scouting values, and proud of who they are as young men. I continue to work and will likely for a long time, by necessity as well as the satisfaction I get from helping others. I am emotionally close to my family but live very far from them, and visits are infrequent. But we share our faith together and good talks by phone. I have good long time friendships that I value. What I long for at this time in life is the love of my life. A true partner in faith, hope and love. I do not really consider myself religious so much as seeking to abide by faith. A good man, with good values, either retired or still working would be ideal. I know the times aren't so wonderful, money is tight for everyone, but life is good. Loving and sharing a meal, a glass of wine by the fire, a walk by the sea or lake. Respect, compassion important to me. I have been celibate since conceiving my children, so it's been a long time. But I have lived in a small valley with little opportunity, time or space to consider dating or relationship. But I am ready now to seek and find a life partner, or even a great friendship.
64, Solvang, CAI welcome the idea of seeking a new male friend that would lead into a more serious relationship possibly marriage. I'm very stable, have a home and love animals and most of all I'm been a Catholic Cantor for the past 26 years where music has been my inspiration and first love. I'm very Irish and would love to find someone who shares the same heritage.
