I am honest, trustworthy and faithful. My favorite things to do are go to the beach and read a good book and enjoy the outdoors, on the other hand I love to dress up and go to the theatre, especially musicals. I am pretty much a girl who loves going and keeping busy. I have three grown children that still enjoy my company especially at Disneyland. They tend to keep me young and on my toes. I do have my times of just taking a day here or there for myself and relaxing and kicking back outdoors or by the fire in the winter. I work in retail full-time as a dept manager for a well known department store. I am pretty easy going and am thankful for the people and things I have in life. My motto is to be positive and look for that postivity in everything that happens and dwell on that as opposed to the negative in life. I have a strong faith foundation and God is first in my life above anyone or anything.

Average guy, more on the shy side. Not particularly forward or outgoing towards strangers. I warm up when I am familiar with people. I am very spiritual and am of The Roman Rite, however I study Orthodoxy and am faithful 1st and foremost to the Nicene Creed. My self esteem has recently taken some hits. I'll be brutally honest, I am a type 2 diabetic and while I have my blood sugar issues under control with diet and meds, I still have a problem with my "beer belly" (not a huge beer drinker though) and am working to lose it, but it makes me self conscious. So that would be my "baggage". I'm good with the diet and losing weight, just need to find my exercise/activity motivation. Rather than face a potential embarrassing situation of rejection, I just tend to hang out on Facebook. I'm a retired public servant. I was a Park Ranger and various other Law Enforcement positions at various local L.A. agencies. I'm reserved but I figure I should stop being a hermit, get involved and make the most of life. I have the potential to be a 'regular' member of society lol, just need a partner. Thanks for reading this far ;)

A food scientist and despite working on food - food still excites me. I like baking and dream of putting up a cupcake business. It's hard to describe one's self --- so maybe, let's stick with what my closest friends would probably say about me. At first, I may seem serious because i only talk when i am being talked to. But once I warm up to people, i like laughing and just being silly and goofy. I may seem shy but have no issues speaking my mind if I feel strongly about something or have something worthy to say. I like traveling but spend lots of time in museums and old churches. Once i step out though, i realize the natural landscapes are perfect too - and i resolve to spend more time outdoors. :) The Journey Home in EWTN was key to my being a happy Catholic. I like the music of Ingrid Michaelson, Bruno Mars and the Corrs.

  • Maria, 27 from West Covina, CA
    27, West Covina, CA
Hi my name is Maria. Hope you're doing well. I'm currently transitioning from being busy at work to having more time on my hands. I'm still learning about myself but I can say I enjoy sports, music, travelling, cooking and baking, reading, being with family and friends, and doing new things. I'm the eldest of four children and the only daughter so I'm always surrounded by family. I like to know about the world around me and have an opinion on just about everything, but I won't start an argument with anyone. I pray the rosary every night and go to church once or twice a week, it brings me peace. I'm starting a healthier lifestyle so I'm a lot more active and enjoy hiking and peaceful walks/runs. Music is something very dear to my heart, I can't do anything without it. I love listening to it and singing along at home but nothing beats going to a live concert. I finished my undergrad degree quite a while ago and I'm preparing myself for my next education stage. Maybe my MBA, maybe another undergrad degree, not sure yet but I do know I want to go back to school. There's more about me that I can't fit on here. I hope to hear from you soon so I can get to know more about you too :)

  • Jim, 56 from West Covina, CA
    56, West Covina, CA
Hello I'm Jim. At least that's what most people call me. Amongst family I'm Jimmy the youngest of 6 children. I have 2 great kids who live near Portland Oregon. Which is where I had lived until recently. I've been in outside sales most of my life. I enjoy what I do and I believe that I'm good at it because I am genuinely interested in people and want to be a good partner in their success. However I don't want to sale anyone on myself as a potentially romantic partner. But I will say this, I'm easy going, young at heart, my interest are wide ranging, I enjoy volunteering, and dogs, cats, and babies love me. Hopefully that last one got a little chuckle out of you but it is also true. Sports and music have both been big influences on me. Other than rap and heavy metal I have favorites in every genre. And as far as sports go, I've played, coached, and been an administrator for many youth and high school programs. And now I'm mostly a fan. I'll be glad to tell you all about that or anything else you might want to know when we get a chance to talk.
