Hello! I am a professional, somewhat conservative Catholic, probably best referred to as an ultramontanist. I am tall,well-travelled and trying to stop sitting on my glasses. I like the Latin Mass, reading, Evelyn Waugh, T.S. Eliot, New York Times, changes of seasons and playful empathic women. I also enjoy hiking the Rockies, chocolate, Indian food and a happy and Catholic woman. Soon I shall add more photos.

Hello, and thanks for reading my profile! Here are a few things I find interesting, exciting, or fun. If you find any of them interesting too then perhaps we could start a proper conversation. 1. Spring and summer, living out of doors (i.e. camping ;-)) sunlight, hikes, the ocean. I went on the Chartres pilgrimage in France three years ago, and can't wait to do something like that again. It's a great feeling to awaken at dawn and put your boots (or sandals) on and just start walking, and walk and walk..... 2. Country life. I grew up on a farm. I love growing plants and raising animals...I actually even like the smell of cattle and horses ;-) 3. Languages. I study French with a passion, and would love to master Italian also. 4. Books. My most prized of all books is "The Diary of a Country Priest" by Georges Bernanos. I read it every year and I learn more every time. But I also read a lot of modern European history, classic mystery stories, spiritual stuff (e.g. "Introduction to the Devout Life") and kids' adventure stories. 5. Gardens! I once had charge of a rose-garden with thirty seven rose-bushes in it, climbing roses and tea roses and old-fashioned roses, all with their own special scents. My favorite was a climbing rose called "Joseph's coat" because as it blooms it changes from red to pink to orange and yellow. It is madly beautiful. 6. Philosophy....I'm an Aristotelian. All them Platonists and Phenomenologists and what-have-you can go stand on their heads and spit wooden nickles.... Actually, I'm kidding ;-) I'm getting my feet wet with Dietrich von Hildebrand right now, and it's great stuff.

I'm a reverent person with an irreverent sense of humor. I enjoy being an armchair movie critic, spontaneous adventures, and foodie delights. Chatting with a few good friends, working out, and taking long walks are my favorite ways to relax. I was raised in Oregon, but my family recently moved to Denver, and I'm considering moving there after graduation from Notre Dame.

I am a mother to a little boy who is a year and a half. I've just started back at college. I'm pretty goofy and talkative. I love the outdoors and going places. I want to get better at rock-climbing and start biking more. I love my faith it is a huge part of my life. I am a practicing Roman Catholic.

My life has become more of an adventure than I ever dreamed. I expose hidden plots and travel to foreign lands. Seriously! I love to talk about good books and great thoughts. I like to tell a few jokes and quips, however bad, just to provoke an unexpected gut-busting laugh. I even indulge in learning (but not practicing!) the dark arts of modern politics. I seek to build and defend my community and my Church as best I can. Oh, and I really like being Irish-American. In my spare time I like to learn languages, to memorize Irish songs, and to go on hikes. I'm deeply attached to some friends who host a co-ed poker night at least monthly. I like to hang out at the Denver Press Club. I'm involved in a global affairs group called WorldDenver. I also like to teach people about the political process and help them become leaders in their community. Quirky thing though: despite all my socializing I'm actually an introvert! At some point I hope to return to the ski slopes and to the swing dance floor. Some long-time injuries have slowed me down. I was fully disabled for a few years over seven years ago, but I fought back and never gave up. Achieving the summit feels even better once you've been in a deep valley.

I am a man who spends his daily life doing what I can to better serve Christ. I love the Holy church, attending mass and receiving the Eucharist. I feel that my life centers around Jesus and the sacraments, and I try my best to carry this into my daily activities. I am hoping to find a person with the same attitude and devotion, who is honest and will work hard at a friendship and eventual relationship. I love the outdoors, playing golf, spending time with my daughter and friends, camping and the mountains. Life circumstances and events have played a large role in my devotion to the Holy Catholic Church and my faith.

I like to cook, hike, and pray. I try to go to mass 2-3 times a week. I love the faith even when I don't act like it. I love all of the traditions of the Church aswell, so rich with history. I am currently attending community college and seeking a part time job. I have been told that I am pretty funny and enjoyable to be around... I'm not sure if they just pity me though :)
