66, Bailey, COSince I retired in 2014 I have spent time studying Spanish in an immersion program in Antigua, Guatemala and Copan, Honduras. I also spent three months as a volunteer at a home for children in Honduras. I enjoy visiting my family in other parts of the US and hope to go on other mission trips. I am active in two choirs at my church and attend Mass weekly. I haven't been camping or fishing in quite a while and miss it. I love watching birds and especially the birds in Central America. I enjoy hiking but can't take altitude over 10,000 feet. My favorite time is getting together with family and throwing a meal together, then playing cards. I enjoy reading and listening to music. I have a few TV shows I watch, but tend not to watch TV on a regular basis. I can laugh at myself and with others. I can forgive and love unconditionally. I think my time in Honduras at the children's home affected and influenced me greatly. I learned a great deal about poverty and the hopeless and helpless situations of the Honduran people. Pope Francis has also influenced my thinking on mercy and aiding the poor.
32, Bailey, COI'm a little goofy and strange most of the time (dry humor, accents, etc. Watch Monty Python and you'll begin to understand), but I've always had a bit of a serious face. I'm have a lot of drive and ambition for success in life and a thirst for knowledge. I do like to get out and experience this thing people call "socializing" or "hanging out", but I've never really had the chance to growing up in the country. When I do get out into a crowd or large group of people, I like to get out a meet new people and experience the moment. When I'm not working (which is waaaay too much), or doing a Knights of Columbus or church event, I'm usually outside doing something. When I pull my head from out from underneath my car, I love to go high altitude hiking and camping, recreational shooting, rock hounding and as of late, rediscovering my "roots" while playing in the garden. I do show my mad-scientist face every once in a while and pull out the rockets and chemistry paraphernalia to satisfy my occasional nerd-cravings.
