61, Colorado Springs, COI'm Ken, live in Colo Springs. Former military officer. Retired from full time work in early 2014. Enjoy hiking, skiing, water sports, bicycling, volunteer work. I'm energetic and active; in great health. I wish I were 20 pounds lighter ;-). I would like to meet someone that I can enjoy my life with. I don't need to be with someone every minute of the day, but it would be great to find a person with whom I could share a mutual passion for life, travel, outdoor activities and adventure. Someone who has enthusiasm for learning and new experiences. Every day, better and better in every way! I enjoy outdoor adventure: snow and water skiing, biking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, flying, scuba, riding horses. I've done all of these quit a bit, but don't do any of these as much as I would like -- some not in years. I would love to learn to sail. I would also enjoying doing these activities with someone who can teach me, or who wants to learn. The glass is half full! I'm ESTJ -- if that means anything to you. I have some great friends (if you need references, just ask). So, in measuring myself by my friends I feel very fortunate. While I love to be active, I can also and need to -- chill out. I love to relax on a rainy, stormy weekend. I like classic rock and roll, country, classical music. In moving to Colorado (2008), I'm fulfilling my dream "to ride to the ridges where the west commences; I want to stare at the stars until I lose my senses". Any chance you can supply the horses? I am very interested in politics, international affairs, and the care about this country and its place in the world. I am a former military officer, graduated from West Point, lived in Russia (where they thought I was a spy), Greece and Germany. I have a few KGB acquaintances (1 or 2 friends), and have been threatened by Russian and Chechen mafia. I tell you those stories if you want to hear them I think a big part of loving someone means accepting that person for whom they are, while at the same time knowing that together they can be better than each by themselves. It's not trying to change someone, but trying to grow with each other. This quote from a surprising source describes part of my attitude: Life is tough, and if you have the ability to laugh at it you have the ability to enjoy it. (Selma Hayek). I think people should be able to laugh at themselves.
68, Colorado Springs, COWell, this will take some courage, although it's not exactly running into a burning building. My dear friends have graciously described me as trustworthy, loyal, funny, and kind. Of course, I gave them a substantial bribe to say so. Aside from that minor detail, honesty and integrity are important to me. I've been fortunate to have a profession that has allowed me to travel and experience many different countries, cultures, politics, current events, and meet lots of people along the way. It has presented many opportunities for personal growth and given me a taste for variety and adventure. More importantly, it has also allowed me to be of service to many people and extend hospitality to them. I am a hard worker who is independent and a team player. I want good things for the people around me and appreciate the accomplishments of others. I love my Catholic Faith and my country. Being Catholic these days is an adventure yet it's crucial to the way I live. Enthusiastic about design and remodeling; creative and artistic (Fine Arts degree). Love books and intelligent conversations, following politics and current events. I have many interests and love to learn, attending conferences, lectures, and happenings to further that.Good manners and decency are always appreciated and I enjoy reciprocating gestures of goodwill. I love to laugh and enjoy making even ordinary things fun. Humor: dry; prefer stirred, not shaken. Tender-hearted; low maintenance, considerate, practical (from hardy pioneer stock), imaginative, articulate, intellectual, refined, a little sassy when called for (gee, and modest too, couldya' believe it?). I well understand the difference between stuff and people. Usually active at something, and not afraid to get a bit messy when involved with a project. Most days seem too short to contain all the good things. A bit of a foodie; enjoy cooking and nice table settings simply for a quiet evening, or a party. Love beautiful surroundings, gardens, animals, extraordinary and ordinary things, & yes, people. Any Medjugorje devotees out there? It would be wonderful to find a great guy to share fun things, food, good conversations, a good sense of humor, Faith, travel, teamwork, and more. ...Whew, ...well, ...after all that! Thank you for taking the time to look at this. May God bless you abundantly.

77, Colorado Springs, COEver since I retired, I am free to do some of the things I have always wanted to do - like live and work in a National Park, travel etc. Since I like to keep active, I still have a part time job for 3-4 months out of the year. I love animals (have a few cats- 2, to be exact) and would like to get a dog - but living in a condo does not allow for that. I enjoy music (pretty much anything classical ) crafts, going out for coffee etc. I used to enjoy dancing (ballroom), but it's no fun without a partner. I would love to meet someone who enjoys going for drives, walks, music and anything else we could agree on doing together. I used to love sports (hiking, skiing, ice skating) but age has put some limitations on this. I don't mind a long distance relationship - at least to get started - but would like to meet someone in person after a while. I like to drive, so distance should not create a problem. My dream is to find a companion who will be there for me as much as I would like to be there for him. I
60, Colorado Springs, COHi! I am a newly single woman who loves teaching middle school Language Arts in a Catholic school. I am passionate about my job, my wonderful 24 year old daughter, and my dog (a puggle) named Harley. I enjoy hiking and camping in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter. I can also be happy just curling up with a glass of red wine and A good book! I love to travel, and often visit my family in Pennsylvania. I would like to find someone with whom to share quiet dinners, and leisure activities such as baseball/hockey games, concerts/plays, and possibly travel.
79, Colorado Springs, COFamily is very important to me, they always come first, love my 5 grandchildren, have many good friends, love to read, travel, still have some things on my bucket list, like to cook, casual eating out, play lottery, love casinos, have great sense of humor, laugh a lot, I am an upbeat person, pretty good temper, love most animals, have a red husky (my favorite dog), caring and giving, try to help those in need.
69, Colorado Springs, COI like gardening, love animals, like traveling, antiquing, flea markets. Enjoy going for rides just for the scenery or looking at vintage home architecture. Like walking and walking my dog. Would enjoy cooking with partner, occasional dining out or attending theater/concerts, etc. I am open to new activities. Would like a friend or companion relationship before a serious relationship - would to get to know you first. I am not interested in your money or for someone to take care of me - just someone with mutual interests who likes to laugh and enjoys my company as much as I enjoy his. Honesty and trust is foremost.
68, Castle Rock, COAfter being on another web site, I decided that my faith is extremely important and I want a Catholic woman in my life, preferably nearby. That being said, I have an goofy sense of humor and can laugh at many things. Music, reading, writing, selective TV watching, movies, and yard work occupy my time. A lifelong exerciser (now mostly walking), I have been limited lately due to back issues, which I am addressing soon. It is good for us to both have our own interests so the time spent together is special. I am big on, not just conversing, but meeting face to face. Out of state relationships are not for me. Even the drive to/from Denver is getting to be uncomfortable due to the numerous texters/phoners on the road. My wife of many years came down with early onset Alzheimer's, and for 10 years, my life was devoted to making her as happy as possible. For recreation, I did a furniture drive for the poor and sent 94 trucks full to Pine Ridge/Rosebud Reservations, then for the local poor. We (The Little Woman) and I sang in church for decades, weddings, but mostly funerals. People were dying to hear us sing. (Uff dah!) Since she has been gone, I sometimes sing in restaurants. Oldies, country, classics. I trip the light fantastic - and I also like dancing, but it has been some time. A Medjugorje pilgrimage changed my life, and I try to get to daily Mass and pray the daily rosary - and more. Ideally, the woman whom God brings to me will have her own interests to pursue, so that when we come together, we can share those things. I am generally a night owl, but my wife was a lark, so it worked well. I had my quiet time at night and she had hers in the morning. Whatever. Long distance relationships are out of the question; and I only consider profiles with photos. Sorry for being shallow, but there must be some physical attraction. God Bless.
